00:00Matt what's up legend look at look at me come on look how good I am what are you
00:05doing I'm doing good man good to see you dog amazing man just did a course at
00:10the Knicks for the first time pretty insane huh how cool is that incredible
00:14pretty insane experience a lot of people there big week for you Netflix specials
00:17coming out how's it feel in your neck like how's it feel for you this is a
00:20crazy experience it's not overnight success you've been working your life
00:23for a long time for this how do you feel going into it that's exactly how I feel
00:26man Netflix is such a verified platform in so many people's eyes yeah you know
00:32past couple years I've been known as just a tick-tock comedian or he just does
00:35wilding out or only he does he only does crowd work some kind of bullshit and now
00:39I get to show people what I actually do for a full hour with no crowd work so
00:42I think people are gonna be really pleasantly surprised every comic has a
00:46crazy bombing story what is your worst bombing experience ever oh dude game
00:50because it's everyone you have to do it's part of the game was game seven of
00:54the 2012 NBA playoffs it was when LeBron was in Miami I think I'm getting that
01:01year correct yeah I was performing at a sports bar outside of Atlanta Georgia and
01:06it was packed filled with everybody watching the game I'm supposed to go on
01:10like and do 20 minutes yeah I ran through 20 minutes of material in like four
01:15minutes every they left the TVs on yeah so everyone's just watch I'm in the middle of a
01:20a joke and people just just diving into nachos dude it was the worst time of my
01:25entire life I've never felt more invisible
01:27that's awesome what you're you're still on tour though so yeah
01:30how does it feel going on tour because doing new material there's a lot going on
01:33how do you like I mean you're still only at international tour right now oh dude this
01:36right now is the best part of the tour because we have a special coming out but
01:40now after you release a special you have to rebuild it entirely right which is the
01:43scariest part of comedy because you don't know what's funny again you have to try
01:46out all new jokes which you know is usually just notes you wrote down on your phone
01:49yeah way too high then you read us over the next day and you're like I'm gonna
01:55go to jail for sure so I'm enjoying like the process of starting all over again
01:59and developing a new show yeah that's where the work actually comes in I enjoy
02:02it what about the transition what do you think was the difference maker in your
02:05career because I mean again this is not overnight so you've been grinding for a
02:08long long time but the change and everything where things start to like
02:12really take off do you know what that oh it was it was social media dude which is so
02:16funny because anybody who knows me knows I was so reluctant to do social media I
02:20hate social media I think it's the worst place ever but it finally gave me an
02:23avenue and an outlet to reach more people because I mean you know doing
02:27comedy for the ten eleven years and not having anybody want to come to your shows
02:30you don't get on any TV shows you're not really touring or anything you start to
02:34doubt yourself right you're like am I delusional like you might not a funny
02:37person and social media allowed me that Avenue to get in front of more people and
02:41then people apparently like my comedy it's not that guy but you know most
02:47people do like my comedy what's next for you obviously you have the stand
02:49special the Netflix special yeah everyone's excited for the people are
02:52going crazy for that so it's and then you're doing on your international tour
02:55which is all that but what is next from that right is it TV the movies are
02:58those getting those meetings are like what do you want to do we as soon as the
03:02strike is over God willing we do have some projects in the works I'm very
03:05excited to make that transition over film and television I love I love acting and
03:09producing as much as I love stand up I've been doing stand up longer so I'm also
03:13interested to see this crossover that's awesome dude I'm happy I know it's a
03:16crazy week good to see you buddy good to see
