When NSYNC made their return with the single "Better Place," many fans asked about whether or not a tour was in the works. Joey Fatone revealed that he also has hopes for some future live performances with NSYNC so that he can share the experience with his two daughters in an exclusive interview with Hollywood Life. Joey was chatting with HL about his partnership with body contouring treatment AirSculpt, when he spoke about the possibility of the boy band performing live.

00:00cool so uh to start what can you tell me about your partnership with air sculpt yeah you know
00:06uh they approached me with the you know i think they saw that i was probably not looking the
00:11greatest or i want to maybe lose something i think they felt that the kinetic energy maybe i
00:16don't know but uh they talked to me about the procedure and i was like what the hell is this
00:19let's be real and it's basically a luxury less evasive lipo is the way i can really explain it
00:27in in my brain um where certain areas of unwanted fat that you can't really usually get rid of
00:33whether you're working out or not and first of all let's be real here for me i hate working out
00:36so i think for me this is a nice great jump start to work out uh and it and honestly i feel that way
00:43already and it's only been almost a month friday will be legitimately a month that i've had this
00:48procedure done and it is pretty crazy i ain't gonna lie it's it's it's you're awake during the
00:53procedure uh like i said it's like the the little lily the holes are like almost like a freckle
00:59size um you're you're awake like i said you're just numb you just feel like pressure it's crazy
01:05it's it's one of the craziest things like i've ever i don't know if i would ever think i've been
01:09doing it but you know for people like for instance like a lot of males don't really talk about things
01:14like that or don't ever or very openly about it the same thing even with my hair i mean i've done
01:17i've gone i've done done and i've gotten bosley done twice and i've actually went to turkey i'm i'm not
01:23afraid to say it not afraid at all because hey genetically we lose hair you know genetically
01:28we're not perfect not everybody's perfect and people just want to you know maybe fix things
01:32or nip tuck things or do things and i think that's there's nothing wrong with that uh and for me i
01:36always wanted just something a little bit to kind of kickstart like i said and to do this procedure
01:40was was awesome i mean i think like i said you know uh dr aaron rollins was was awesome talked me
01:46through the whole thing and like i said it was just again i can't it's funny to say it you know like
01:51oh i'm an advocate and i do this and it's great and it's funny because it is true i mean like again
01:56the results of it are crazy as far as with only within a month of how the results have been and
02:01i mean in my jawline you can see even now and the crazy thing is you can't even see a scar
02:05wow like literally maybe a mark or something you can see and i have like like not even it's crazy
02:10it is crazy that's awesome you look great uh how do you feel after undergoing the procedure
02:16uh after 48 hours fine you know you feel you feel numb i mean again you're you're you do go
02:22through a do a little bit of a a surgery per se it's procedure so you know you're you're you're
02:27kind of like a little bit numb but you feel great you know i don't i didn't feel bad i didn't feel
02:31like you know like groggy or something like that i know a lot of people want to do lipo you know
02:35they're they're in bed for months you know literally 48 hours i was i was up and out and and
02:40moving around the next literally the next day because i went and i was i did it in miami and there's
02:45the bright line train that goes back and forth from miami to orlando so i said hey let's take
02:49the train so i went from orlando to miami and then after the procedure the next day after procedure
02:53the next morning i went back from miami to orlando on the train and i was i was fine you know that's
03:02awesome yeah again you feel a little sore it is what it is but you're not it's not like oh i can't
03:07move you're literally in the neck people like oh what i'm like i had a girdle on obviously they put
03:11this compression thing on you gotta put on it's kind of sexy but you have this compression thing
03:15on but you're fine yeah i mean i was able to move around i was working you know within the next two
03:20three days after that nice nice um well so to jump into something a little bit different it's been
03:26about a month since better place came out the first instinct song in over 20 years uh what was it like
03:33getting back in the studio together was it like a seamless transition yeah it felt like no time has
03:38passed it was kind of like hey let's get in there and do what we do you know really what it was i
03:41mean because we've you know even my all of us have worked with each other in the studio producing one
03:46way or another so it was just naturally been you know justin being in the studio going you know
03:50producing the track that he does i mean we did that even on our old albums you know the stuff that
03:54we did in the past who was ever writing or producing that album they were in the room so
03:58with with justin being there was kind of like riding a bike it was like hey let's get in here
04:02sing the parts that's what we got to do and move on absolutely um and you know i'm sure that any
04:10time there's like any sort of instinct reunion i remember the vmas 10 years ago or when you guys
04:15were at uh coachella you know fans always are asking is there going to be a new tour a new album
04:22anything you know and you said that there isn't anything in the works for this one but do you ever
04:26get tired of people asking for it oh of course especially even now that i even did the air skull
04:32people like oh what are you doing you getting tour ready wink wink and i'm like hey no i'm actually
04:39just trying to do it for me really um you know we it doesn't get boring i mean it doesn't get tiring
04:44it's just nice that people are still asking let's be real if they if they don't if they're not asking
04:48then there's a little bit of a problem i think or they're not interested who cares but you know i think
04:53that for for people that are you know that are interested and they're asking i don't think it's
04:57a problem and i don't mind answering because of the fact that you know hopefully soon i will get
05:02an answer for you that's that's that's the thing that i would like to say i would love to give you
05:06an answer whether it be yes whether it be no whether it be i you know i hate saying i don't know yet but
05:11it is true i do not know at this moment because we need to still sit down and have a meeting or have
05:15a talk we haven't had that conversation yet so what you're saying is there's hope there is always hope
05:20you know i'm a big star wars fan you know there's always hope there's always a new hope in that
05:26matter you know you never know it's what in sync was like my first favorite band growing up so
05:31that's like what you know you guys are like one of those artists like i haven't gotten a chance to
05:36see because i was too young then and i want to appreciate that and you know what and i understand
05:42how you're coming and where you're coming from because you know what i had that same feeling believe
05:45or not for my daughters my kids have never really seen me perform within sync so for for people that
05:52are fans and that have grew up listening to us i feel almost the same way it sounds weird but it is
05:57it's true because it's like i want to i want my kids to see what i did you know they hear about it
06:01they've seen about it they never really my daughter was the only one i got a chance my older one she saw
06:06and we did coachella you know with the four of us but that was with our ana grande and yes it was great
06:10but it was just one song really and we didn't do like our show or our tour so again if we get a
06:17chance to do it i'd love to just because the fact i would love my kids to see it as well absolutely
06:21so you kind of hinted at this but so have there been talks about another song you know maybe even
06:29just another one-off you know what i it's one of those things that we haven't had that discussion
06:34either yet and i wouldn't for me personally i don't even know if i'd want to have it a one-off i mean
06:38if it's if we're gonna do if we're gonna do more songs do an album definitely you know what i mean
06:42if we're if we're gonna do something and i understand here's the other thing i understand
06:46that nowadays it's not an album market anymore it's a very singles market a lot of times you
06:51don't really have to put you can put you know ep or something very small a couple songs but for us
06:55i mean again i don't know maybe i just feel old school i would do an actual would love to do a full
06:59album or you know maybe just go on tour for a minute and then maybe do an album later i don't know again
07:04if if everybody's opening to doing it i think it's endless of what we can do you know it's one
07:11of those things of whether everybody's in their mindset to do it definitely and obviously you guys
07:18are all incredibly busy with the you know you it seems like you guys all have so many different
07:23projects have you ever thought about doing maybe like a tour or an album you know with you know
07:29maybe a couple of the members or a tour like without justin or something like that how do you
07:35say that um i do a show a lot of times called joey fatone and friends and i've done it over at the
07:40food and wine festival at epcot uh for disney and i've done it to where it was combinations this will
07:46be my i'm hopefully going to be doing again next year they they usually bring me back pretty much
07:50every year now it's this will be my fifth year i believe this is my fourth year just doing it
07:54but i've had chris kirkpatrick lance bass on it everyone i want to do a couple songs montel jordan
08:00ryan cabrera mc search from third base nate morris from boys to men uh gosh who else have i had
08:07uh a lot of local friends of mine that have come out as well uh so it's been it's been cool we're
08:12doing that so now and i've shifted gears where i'm doing all the shows i just did a show not too long
08:16ago in tampa which was kind of a 90s concert myself and aj from backstreet boys so not so much doing group
08:22not doing so much of with my group however we've been actually negotiating and probably going to do
08:27either a 15 city tour next year coming up with myself and aj to come out and do like a small yeah
08:33small theater kind of show where it's kind of like a 90s throwback a little bit of mixture of
08:38everything else and it's kind of those you never know what's going to happen kind of show so you
08:42know we're excited about it uh you know people came and sold the show that we did uh in tampa and it
08:47perceived very well so we want to do more so things like that and you never know come out there you
08:51know i've had again lance could probably come on out i've also had chris come out so you never
08:55know who's going to come out for those shows absolutely um so a pivot i don't know if this
09:01would be sag so if it's if it is you know feel free to just tell me i'll just give you the thumbs
09:07up or not but in more in more recent years you've made a lot of appearances on impractical jokers
09:15um that's not scripted you're good good okay cool boss i thought so but i wanted to make sure
09:20you're good you're good are there any ways that you feel like your years being in a boy band kind
09:25of prepared you to be able to riff with those guys no yes and no uh thank goodness i was i did a
09:34lot of improv back in the day in high school um i've actually done if you know people of course you
09:39know wayne brady uh was taught by the same drama teacher camera gario uh out of my high school
09:44actually the great uh drama teacher for that matter when we you know first started getting
09:49into stuff and a lot of that stuff we started out and i did with her was improv so i mean i think
09:55that's kind of the skills of when i first started doing stuff like that and then getting into it with
09:59them is is even an entirely funnier thing i think and you know as far as the very first time i ever did
10:05one of the episodes it was literally like let's go in there go for it you're like okay so like my
10:09improv my acting skills everything kind of kicked in to go into that overdrive and funny enough is i
10:14did an episode it hasn't aired yet they'll probably be airing i believe in january or february-ish
10:18uh towards end of season 10 from practical jokers is i actually get punished oh wow they haven't
10:25punished they've never punished a celebrity for before they've always brought people into some of
10:29the segments that they do but never punished so they completely do a gauntlet of punishments that
10:36they have hadn't gotten done to them they do to me oh wow not fun at all i'll just let you say that
10:42uh yeah yeah yeah i'll just say that i mean it ends up with me getting a tattoo i'll just end it there
10:49okay uh definitely curious about that um you know and one of the things that i think is great is you
10:56are hilarious on that show you're you're so good uh you know and i know that you do so many different
11:02things have you ever thought about pursuing like other forms of comedy either you know in like an
11:07improv setting or you know stand up or something like that yeah i mean i've got i've got invited to
11:13do a lot of other improv shows uh especially in in la um i just haven't had honestly the time to get
11:19into it and do it i'd love to i'd love to get back into doing stuff like that i just haven't had a huge
11:24full time i know i did who's line is anyway with wayne actually uh one of the episodes um but i'd
11:29love to i mean that's something that'd be that'd be fun to do i mean why not you know the greatest
11:34thing about me is i just throw stuff on the wall and see what sticks right and so far no one's told
11:38me hey you suck at that because if i don't i'm just gonna keep doing it anyway so you know whatever
11:43practice makes perfect cool so my last you've you know you've touched on so many things but do you
11:49have any other exciting projects coming up that we haven't touched on you know it's just been it's
11:54been great you know again i've been very versatile on things that i've been doing i just went and just
11:58uh did a gateway uh for cancer research charity event i hosted that i'm going to be doing that
12:03again in april uh with the stevensons which is really exciting um which is a fight for cancer
12:09uh research gateway fight for cancer research it's gonna be in april i host that event i'm gonna be
12:13doing um been doing like i said the food and wine festival at epcot i'm actually performing over at
12:19formula one coming up next weekend uh for hilton so it's great it's a lot of different things that
12:24i've been doing whether it's been film television or performing or you know doing television shows
12:30you know there's a couple of the ones that are in the works that are coming out next year as well
12:33so i'm very excited you know certain ones i can say certain ones i can't but uh yeah it's it's gonna
12:38be fun you know coming up next year there's a lot more other stuff that's gonna be coming i'm just
12:41very excited about it and again what i love to do is the stuff that i love to do has actually been fun
12:46and the things that i've been doing i've been picking to do because i want to do them not because i
12:50have to do which is great definitely that's awesome well joey thank you for taking the time
