Becky Lynch once had another killer submission that 'The Man' should dust off!
Transcript
00:00Hopefully this talented lot remember just how awesome their former explosive finishers actually
00:05are and unleash them on TV a few more times before they decide to ride off into the sunset
00:11and away from the wrestling business. So I am Gareth here from WhatCulture Wrestling and here
00:16are 10 epic finishers wrestlers must bring back. Number 10, The Brain Buster, Sami Zayn.
00:23After years of never honestly feeling like a guy WWE would really embrace near the top of the card,
00:28the much loved underdog known as Sami Zayn finally became an undeniable main event babyface star in
00:352023 and he did it all without ever dropping a single heel's head on top of the turnbuckle with
00:41an almighty Brain Buster. Zayn's halluva kick is undoubtedly one of the most simple yet effective
00:47finishers on the WWE product at this current moment in time. So why bring back a weapon as potentially
00:53dangerous and difficult to execute as a certain El Generico's top rope Brain Buster then?
00:58Because on top of being a cute nod to Zayn's days outside of the biggest promotion on the planet,
01:04this extravagant finisher simply looks cool as hell. Why not throw in a few orange crushes in the
01:10coming years too? Number 9, The Dominator, Bobby Lashley.
01:13Back when Bobby Lashley first burst onto the WWE scene in 2005, The Dominator used that very move to
01:20obliterate the vast majority of stars who dare to step inside the squared circle with him.
01:25However, when the powerhouse eventually made his sensational return to sports entertainment 10
01:30years after his last WWE appearance, this explosive power finisher suddenly appeared to have been
01:36replaced. First by a stalling suplex and then a Yokozuna cutter. Lashley would actually notably retain his
01:42body-breaking spear from that initial WWE run during his second stint with the company, but the
01:47titanic figure would also embrace a new merciless hurtlock for Nelson, as he eventually bullied his way to the WWE
01:54championship. By smashing the likes of Matt Riddle and Kofi Kingston with it over the last few years,
02:00you'll struggle to find anyone who wouldn't welcome the idea of Lashley properly reinstating the finisher
02:05as one of his go-to weapons of mass destruction. Number 8, The 630 Splash, Ricochet.
02:11Admittedly, executing a double front flip before crashing back first onto your opponent below can't
02:16be the easiest move in the world to pull off night after night. However, since Ricochet has traded the
02:21epic 630 for a slightly more common shooting star press, the ridiculously athletic and talented
02:27high-flyer hasn't quite electrified the masses in the way he did during those staggering NXT and early
02:33main roster days. According to the one and only himself, he simply hasn't had the need to use it,
02:40with one of his last real successful high-profile 630s coming during his winning display in the
02:45SmackDown World Cup Finals in December 2022. He also failed to connect with one in his SummerSlam
02:51loss against Logan Paul this year. Ricochet doesn't need to be throwing out this insane
02:56double cent on at every single house show and Raw taping he pops up on, but getting to see it more
03:01than once or twice a year would definitely help make the former Intercontinental Champion feel like
03:06more of a must-see attraction again. Now I've got a question for you, is Ricochet the greatest
03:11high-flyer in the business today? Well, if he's not, then you tell me right now in the comment
03:15section down below who is, tell me damn it! Number 7, Spiral Tap, AJ Styles. With AJ Styles now being
03:23well into his 40s, you can't exactly blame the former WWE Champion for not taking to the sky and
03:28risking it all by throwing out a wicked Spiral Tap every time he shows up on SmackDown. It would still
03:34be pretty incredible to see Styles dust that former out-of-this-world court-screw sent-on off on the
03:39WWE stage, even if it was just for one night only. The Phenomenal One himself openly admitted a few
03:45years back that there's a good chance he'd hurt himself if he went to twist his body inside out
03:50with this one-time match-ender at this stage in his life. However, if anyone can pull off this absurd
03:56spinning top rope attack safely at 46 years young, surely it's the same bloke who has been stunning
04:01crowds for two decades straight with his innovative manoeuvres. Number 6, The Mizzard of Oz, The Miz.
04:08WWE's awesome one has been occasionally putting away his opponents with the skull-crushing finale
04:13for a whopping 14 years. What old could very much become new if he finally decided to freshen up an
04:20act that hasn't exactly evolved all that much over the last decade or so? Before making the jump up to
04:26the main roster, Mike Mizanin actually used a rather emphatic swinging DDT of sorts in OVW.
04:32And its fantastic name alone, The Mizzard of Oz, is enough to justify bringing it back to the
04:38sports entertainment party after all this time. It's a no-nonsense and somewhat believable way
04:44of bringing a bout to an end, and it's about time the A-lister offered an alternative to his
04:48increasingly stale Full Nelson facebuster. Number 5, The Single Knee Facebreaker, Sean Spears.
04:55Jumping all the way back to 2015, a then-Tie Dillinger debuted a sickening Single Knee Facebreaker
05:01match winner to defeat Solomon Crowe, aka Impact Wrestling's Sami Callihan, on the August 12th
05:07edition of the Black and Gold Show. However, this 10 out of 10 sudden knockout blow was then
05:12disappointingly replaced by his Tiebreaker Fisherman's Carry Netbreaker by 2016. So if the
05:18veteran is set to call time on his 20-year career in the business in the not-too-distant future,
05:23why not go out with a few of his old crowd-popping knees to the face?
05:27Number 4, The Prince's Throne, Finn Balor. With The Prince currently possessing a delicious
05:32coup de grace, and devastating 1916 in his vicious arsenal. If he does feel like adding another
05:38unexpected layer to his already effective offensive game though, then perhaps the Judgment Day menace
05:44should dip into his past, and pull out a few Prince's Thrones as the villainous group look to
05:49continue their Monday night dominance. The former Universal Champion went by the name of Prince
05:54Devitt in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and could often rely on his Fireman's Carry Double Knee Gutbuster
06:00to get the job done in the ring. It's time for this Prince to bring his throne to WWE, baby!
06:06Number 3, The Brock Lock, Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate may already boast one of the most brutal
06:11submission locks in the game in his terrifying Kaimura, but there's really nothing quite like the
06:16visual of this monster hoisting a helpless victim up into the air by their slowly crumbling leg.
06:22The former WWE and UFC champion hasn't bullied a rival in between the ropes with that hilariously
06:27cruel submission for over two decades. With the likes of Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit and Shannon
06:32Moore all being violently bent in half by the next big thing during his first run with the company
06:38all those years ago. Could you imagine seeing someone like Logan Paul or Ricochet being effortlessly
06:43yanked up into the sky and hung over the behemoth's neck like a piece of defenceless meat? Simply put,
06:49the long-awaited return of the Brock Lock would definitely be a welcome detour away from Suplex City
06:54and snapping arms. Number 2, The Ozone, Randy Orton. When slash if Randy Orton does eventually make a
07:01return to in-ring action, so with this legend likely not wanting to risk doing any more damage to an already
07:06battered back, Orton will likely need to think of another way he can end a match instead of always
07:11relying on his classic RKO. And that's where The Ozone comes in. When the eventual Evolution member
07:17first showed up on the main roster 20 years ago, this future WWE champion wasn't popping up with a
07:23violent cutter out of nowhere. The youngster preferred to throw his leg over his adversary's neck, grab their
07:28closest arm, and then horrifically rotate forwards. This overdrive swinging netbreaker was pretty successful
07:34during those early days too. Again, Orton doesn't need to retire his iconic RKO completely should he
07:41finally make his long-awaited WWE comeback in the next few months, but it wouldn't be the worst idea
07:45to chuck in a few Ozones here and there to preserve that surgically repaired back. Number 1, The Four-Leg
07:51Clover, Becky Lynch. With Becky Lynch already proving that she's willing to introduce new ways to best her
07:57rivals in between the ropes, adding the man-handle slam to her arsenal and using that power move to help
08:02her win title gold on a number of occasions over the last two years, the man is likely always thinking
08:08of more fresh attacks she can catch her enemies off guard with going forward. And the last thing those
08:13rivals would ever expect is for the one-time last kicker to re-debut an old faithful submission from
08:19her developmental days. Just before she started snapping arms with her signature disarm her Fujiwara
08:25armbar on the black and gold brand, Lynch actually opted for an intense inverted figure 4 leg lock.
08:31Big-time Bex even managed to tap out her fellow horsewoman, Bayley, with this nasty-looking
08:36four-leg clover. If a four-leg clover boasting version of the man came around, no limb would be
08:42safe. And that's our list. Know of any other epic finishes that wrestlers must bring back? Well,
