00:19I am in Beijing now to report this time on the new episode clashes between Thailand and Cambodia.
00:26We have left at least five dead and several wounded.
00:31Our Thai soldiers and four Cambodian civilians were killed, while dozens of injured and thousands of people had to fled their homes in border areas.
00:42The dispute has historical roots dating back to the colonial era, when the border lines established by France in 907 generate territorial claims that persist to this day.
00:56The border territories have been the focus of recurring clashes with major incidents in 2008, 2011 and 2014.
01:07In 2025, the fight intensified and in July alone there were at least 32 deaths and more than 130,000 displaced persons.
01:19The current conflict erupted after airstrike ordered by Thailand on position in Cambodian territories and reflect an increase in tensions that threaten the safety of the civilian population and the regional stability.
