NASA astronaut Jonny Kim and two cosmonauts concluded their eight-month mission aboard the International Space Station with a successful landing on the frigid steppe of Kazakhstan early Dec. 9, following a high-temperature re-entry and descent aboard the Soyuz MS-27/73S spacecraft.
