01:32Now today we're in Ohio where the top 8 drivers will battle it out once again.

01:54We are here at Dragway 42, located in West Salem, Ohio.
02:00This is our first time here.
02:02It is a very beautiful facility.
02:03This track opened its doors in 1957 and it is just an hour south of Cleveland.
02:09We're a lot closer to sea level, which is a huge change after spending a few weeks in the mountains and even in Vegas.
02:15It's also cooler than the temperatures we've been dealing with.
02:18Lower elevation and cooler temps means the engines can breathe easier and produce more horsepower.
02:23Every driver will have to make big adjustments to what they've been doing.
02:26Right now, Kai Kelly is still sitting number one in points, but last week he went out in the very first round, which means he gained no points whatsoever,
02:35which allowed other drivers to make up some ground.
02:38Here's how it works.
02:39If you win the grade 8, you get 10 points.
02:41Plus, you also get $10,000.
02:44If you runner-up, you get 7, and if you make it to the semifinals, you will get 3.
02:48Those points go towards an individual championship that will be worth $100,000 at the end of the season.

05:40I've never even raced Nate, so honestly, I'm kind of excited to see where we stack up against
05:45each other because we're so close in points, so it should be a pretty even matchup as long
05:49as both cars make the trip.

16:28So, in Colorado, we had added compression to the engine and changed the stator.
16:32So, we just ran the same stuff in Vegas.
16:35Coming here, the air's a lot better.
16:37So, we're going back to our old setup.
16:39And, for some reason, the car keeps knocking the rear gear out every race.
16:42This axle should just slide right out.
16:44So, that's usually a sign something's binding up.

20:03through the traps no track temp was 94. so but i'll do it all right first round grade eight here in
20:15ohio we got kayla morton we're pretty excited about it we got a good race car i know they do too they
20:21run the same setup we do so uh we're gonna bring ra game and they'll have to do the same let me go make
20:26sure the battery charger's hooked up and i need to get the fan on the transmission right we are in
20:33ohio obviously one of my favorite states for reasons like i won here the very first race i drew nate
20:39sailor we are friends but we've never got to race each other so i'm excited to race nate to see kind
20:45of where we stack up both cars are very fast

23:09kai kelly's kryptonite that is the question i don't think i'm anybody's kryptonite i don't know uh we took
23:14a shot at it and it paid off well yeah it sure did you put kai kelly on the trailer again so that
23:20means with kai kelly the points leader not being in this race right now this is a chance for everybody
23:24else to make up some ground all right so take advantage of that let's go ahead and draw chips

24:43incredibly well it's gonna be a hell of a run i have a lot of respect for him i love sean but we're
24:49gonna try and do our best to beat him like we're gonna go on to the next round it's our turn to take
24:53one and come up in points i mean just to be real if we get past sean this might be our night

31:18on the wind light so your grade eight finals will be murder nova versus lizzie musy for ten
31:25thousand times after my burnout backing up i hear the car it's like it's just off knocking a little

35:31making a really killer run we looked on the race pack it looks killer so minus the fact of it you
35:36know backfiring and uh freaking big ball of fire you know we're not quite sure why do what it did it
35:44could happen when it gets cold temperatures like this we place the rocker and the push rod in that side
35:50we decided to leave the hood scoop off in case it decides to happen again in the finals the car
35:55is running good so we feel good about it hopefully we fix the issue and we're going to go up there for
36:00the final and hopefully kick some ass trying trying the best i can yeah no you're killing it you're
36:05killing it so you're calling ass too well you're running really good we'll see we'll see last time

36:40on a pretty decent pass but wasn't the greatest error for pro chargers uh it was a little bit
36:46favorable for the nitrous stuff but lizzie's fast she goes to a lot of finals she wins a lot of races
36:51and it's just like anybody else in the grade 8 we can't underestimate her she's going to go out
36:55there and pat is going to do anything he's got to do to win this race and we're going to try to do
37:00anything we can for them not to win it all right folks here we go this will be the last race of
37:07the night this is your grade 8 finals
37:10over in the left lane backing up that nitrous powered camaro
37:29that is lizzie musy she is going up against none other than murder nova murder nova over in the
37:37right lane this race right here for ten thousand dollars and very important points towards that

38:21two times in the the grade eight and two wins you know the cars rolling we have uh we've stumbled upon
38:28something you know some sort of a magic tune that that's going down and it's going down fast you know

38:44car's working well motors producing all the power and we're winning races you know couldn't be happier
38:50this is this is what we strive for every time we work on the car every time we make a pass on the car
38:56every time we spend money on the car this is what we do it for uh it's been a long time since we've had
39:01this winning feeling and uh we love it you know and we're not going to sleep until we get an invitation
39:08to win so tell me about the grade eight is it pretty fun

39:55i was ready for it uh i'm not real sure she was so i let go of the button i knew i left out before her
40:02car 60-footed like we told it to and we made a hell of a pass i could see her for a little bit
40:08and then all of a sudden she fell back and we took the wind light yeah i got blinded by the light
40:13all right i know i don't know what's causing it but it's crazy

40:29at the end of the night sean was able to win yet another great eight event that is two in a row
40:38plus he took out kai kelly in round one which made it so where he could not extend his lead
40:44that landed him fourth on the leaderboard and there's plenty of braces left for him to catch up

40:54this is the great eight sean you've won two great eights in a row man kai's been struggling a little
41:01bit on fridays he's gonna struggle we need to capitalize on it we actually broke the transmission
41:06so we have an hour to put a new transmission in the car i think we can change the tranny in an hour
41:11i just got to worry about murdering over on his little killing spree he's doing because
41:14he keeps winning every weekend he's gonna catch at this point we have to get points every grade eight
