00:10Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life and Camila spoke with Ryan Seacrest to give

00:13more details about her self-titled debut album, which is absolutely tearing up the

00:18charts. Cam revealed that she made about 30 songs before selecting the top 10

00:23tracks and gave a super weird analogy as to why songs like Ed Sheeran's The Boy

00:27didn't make the final cut. It's like if you got this grass from your favorite farm

00:32in your home and you put it on your outfit and you were like, oh, but this

00:36outfit has the piece of grass from my favorite farm. People are like, but that

00:39outfit sucks. I get Cam's point, but Lady Gaga can literally wear an egg and people

00:44are like, that's dope. Maybe it's more about just owning it. On the other hand, I

00:48really appreciate a shorter album. I don't need 15 songs if five of them are

00:52gonna be trash. Chris Brown, I'm talking to you. But okay, Camila also revealed how

00:57her mom made her less nervous about releasing her debut album and also says

01:01the phrase, you know, a billion times. She just told me, you know, if you're

01:06gonna, if you're, if you want to do this, just expect the worst possible

01:08scenario. And if you, you know, if you still want to do it and you know, the

01:12worst possible scenario being, you know, nobody, you know, everybody is upset with

01:18me and you know, my, like my music isn't successful and you know, it's kind of

01:23like starting from scratch all over again. She was like, if you're fine with all

01:27those circumstances and you're still gonna be happy, then do it. And I was

01:30like, yeah, wow, hell yeah. Expect the worst, you know, because it may suck, you

01:33know, but you know, it might also not suck either, you know. To something you

01:38actually might want to know, it seems like Camila Cabello went on a date with

01:42Shawn Mendes. The Blast has obtained photos of the two cozying up and holding

01:46hands at Artichoke Pizza in New York before attending the Clive Davis pre-Grammy

01:51gala. The site also reports the two never crossed paths at the gala, which

01:55is a little suspicious. Shawn and Camila have claimed they're really good friends

01:59in countless interviews and always shut down romance rumors. However, Cam did

02:03allude to having someone special in her life during this press tour and her

02:08album is obviously full of love slash sex songs. Perhaps it's not too far

02:12fetched to believe the friend zone has turned into the end zone for Shawn

02:16Mila. To something more shocking, Lauren Hiregi is supposedly leaving 580

02:20to release a solo project. Billboard magazine decided to give live updates on

02:25Grammy after parties on their site. A writer attending Sony's after party

02:29apparently overheard someone saying Lauren would be leaving her group and the

02:33label Epic Records to join Columbia Records and release her own album.

02:38However, it seems like this was a mix-up because Billboard has now erased these

02:42updates from their site. Then again, perhaps Lauren could release a solo project and

02:46remain in the group. Camila is still with Epic Records after leaving the group and

02:51also maybe the band learned their lesson after shutting down Camila's desire to

02:56release solo music while still in the band. And we all know what happened there.
