00:00Hello everyone, my name is Maciej Suecki.

00:03I am the game director of the upcoming Frostpunk 1886.

00:07And today I would like to take you behind the scenes of the project.

00:22We are rebuilding the original Frostpunk using Unreal Engine

00:25to give you refined mechanics and major visual upgrade.

00:29But this is so much more than just a remaster.

00:32We are expanding the game to give you a ton of unique content.

00:37The team is hard at work to visually improve the game in a major way.

00:41We can show you a sneak peek into this process today.

00:44One of the biggest areas we are focusing is the people of New London.

00:48The first Frostpunk was all about the individual survival of your citizens

00:53and we want to take you even closer to them.

00:56One idea that we are currently exploring are improved animations and the use of motion capture.

01:02This will let us show you more expressive behaviours and as such gives more personality to the citizens.

01:09We are upgrading the lighting system to enhance the city's atmosphere

01:14and highlight the harsh frozen feel of the Frostland.

01:17We are also upgrading building textures to give New London a more grounded feel

01:22and players a more immersive experience.

01:25Keep in mind that we are still about two years ahead of the release.

01:29So everything you are seeing here is early in the development.

01:32And there is much more we will be showing you in the future updates.
