01:46separating our other four couples with only two weeks to go until our champions are crowned everything
01:53is on the line who will make it through to next week's semi-final you've had your say and tonight two couples will take on the
02:00penultimate dance off of the series but first let's see what the judges thought of our night at the musicals

02:17separating our other four couples with only two weeks to go until our champions are crowned

02:30what a night of musical magic i think this is one of the most amazing quarterfinals we've ever had
02:43i think we had a really diverse range of dance routines really i mean look at karen's you know
02:49that was quite wild for her lewis had sort of everything in there valvinda she's really come
02:55up the ranks hasn't she george was serious for the first time and of course the big old showstopper
03:01of amber and nikita's charleston i mean what an exciting evening it was you can see it by how
03:07close the leaderboard is amber's perfect 40 means she sits at the top of the leaderboard
03:16amber's dance with nikita was absolutely ridiculously brilliant 10. i would have been completely wrong
03:23i think to not give that a 10 because it was just extraordinary
03:28we got a 40 we got a 40 on musicals week
03:35george from the beginning he meant business i think it was the first time that i actually saw that he
03:41wants to be into the semi-final he doesn't want to be in the dance hall and the dancing spoke for itself
03:46and to see him so focused was quite surprising to me because he's always a bit of a giggly fella
03:51there's literally five people and three of us got the exact same score
03:56valvinda and julian i mean what a night of emotion she's been in a quite a few dance-offs and she's
04:03championed her way through it that actually was valvinda's highest score of 35. if you want a scale of
04:09improvement valvinda at the top that went beautifully and then the applause incredible
04:20as we know lewis and katya fantastic dancers every week they've bought the a-game but today somehow it
04:26was not his best dance i mean i was probably rushing a little bit and i kind of need to relax a little bit
04:32more but i think i was just enjoying the dance too much and i needed to just chill out a bit
04:42i thought that karen and carlos's samba was a super dance for musicals week because they brought
04:48the show with them it did miss a few connections though with arms and fluidity well to be fair on
04:54bottom of the laser board but all right it's so close though it's so close and what will be will be
05:03next week is the semi-final two dances yeah that's going to be harder next week for them and the
05:09competition is strong this is going to be all down to the people at home isn't it what came i'm not
05:14see darling you've got to make the decision this is tremendous news i'm sad now
05:24i'll always be nervous i think every result show i'm petrified you always have to be prepared and
05:32you always have to be ready
05:40the competition is so tight and everybody's very good at dancing now all we can do is just keep our
05:47fingers crossed waiting under the light for the results to be revealed my breath is always short
05:54and i have to remind myself to just breathe this will determine who gets into the semi-final
06:01that makes me nervous i hope that i've done enough this week

20:23Well for me and when we get to this point it the game changes I always felt it became tactical

20:39Not what's gonna make me top of the leaderboard. It's the dance off that counts
20:43so I've
20:44Focused a lot of the time on one particular dance over the other one and put all my eggs in that basket and it was
20:52Successful for me. That's actually that brilliant advice

37:39Oh, I think they should both stay in Strictly this year. They're both absolutely extraordinary.

39:43It's been, like, you know, more than I could have ever wished for.
39:47If someone had said that I'd have done 11 weeks on the show at the beginning, I'd have been over the moon and I'd have snapped the hand off.
39:53So, thank you to the full show, to everyone for having such a space where people can be themselves, grow, learn, express themselves.

41:27How much has that support meant to you?
41:29It's everything, isn't it? I mean, what is life without people?
41:32And, um, this show's kind of... I've seen how it's brought people together.
41:37Not just in my family, but, like, you know, it seems to lift people up and it's definitely brought, you know, my family four generations together every Saturday night.
41:46My nana, daughter, who's sitting there smiling all the time.
41:49And, you know, people, young boys who thought that, you know, dancing wasn't accessible for them or whatever, have started dancing now and send us videos and stuff like that.
41:59And, you know, if you can change one person's life like that, then that's enough.
