Apple just entered one of the biggest leadership shake-ups in years — and analysts say it could strengthen the company, not weaken it. Bloomberg reports that Apple’s top chip executive, Johny Srouji, is “seriously considering” leaving after months of evaluating his future. Several other senior leaders are retiring or being poached, including AI chief John Giannandrea, COO Jeff Williams, policy chief Lisa Jackson, and longtime legal head Kate Adams.
But according to Gene Munster, this isn’t instability — it’s a strategic reset designed to accelerate Apple’s push into AI. Munster predicts Apple will lead the Magnificent 7 through spring as Apple Intelligence rolls out, iPhone 17 demand lifts sales in China, and the company resets its leadership structure for the next decade.
Meanwhile, Samsung just launched the Galaxy Z TriFold before Apple’s first foldable, and Apple hired Meta’s legal chief Jennifer Newstead as general counsel, signaling another shift in strategy.
