43:31But for those of you who don't know it, here's the short version.
43:37My parents were both junior hockey coaches, and they were hit by a drunk driver when I was 12 years old.
43:47Mercifully for them, they died instantly.
43:50Mercifully for me, the St. Thomas Scholarships existed.
43:56I didn't have anybody else to help me.
44:01I had a lot of memories, a love of hockey, and a huge hole in my heart.
44:07St. Thomas filled it with hope.
44:10The hope of a new family.
44:13Things weren't always easy.
44:16You know, they never are for anybody.
44:17But in hockey, I found what I was missing.
44:23First at my high school, then later at college, and now here with the Admirals.
44:26And I never looked back, because I never had to.
