11:02What whale?
11:04The whale in the box.
11:08What box?

11:16Or Blade K, or something like that.
11:18It's Frank Kelly, you do.
11:20Do you really think I can sing?
11:22Well, as someone once said,
11:24the guy with a field can cut you the deal, babe.
11:26Listen to him.
11:27Hot from the local Lombarder Marathon.
11:30The rave-est-brave-est club's not for this place, I tell you.
11:34Are you sure you don't want one of these?

11:38Come on.
11:40Let's get out of here, Kel.
11:41Me and you.

11:43It's just gone.
11:44It's just gone.
11:45It's just gone.
11:46It's just gone.
11:47It's just gone.
11:48It's just gone.
11:49It's just gone.
11:50It's just gone.
11:51It's just gone.
11:52It's not that easy.
11:53Of course it is.
11:58You've got to get out of here, Kel, me and you.
11:59It's just gone.
12:00I'll find you something like a scene, babe.
12:01It's not that easy.
12:02Of course it is.
12:03You've got to get out of here, Kel.
12:04Pull the card.
12:05I'm free now!
12:06Woo-hoo!
12:07Hello?
12:08Hello, Mike.
12:09Mike, please don't ask me out.
12:10Well, I'm not here to ask you out.
12:14I'm...
12:15I'm here to ask you out.
12:16I'm here to ask him out.
12:29Oh.
12:30Right, Jake?
12:31Look, I've, uh...
12:32...had this little idea.
12:33I wonder if you could help me with it.
12:35Oh.
12:36All right, Jake.
12:37Uh, look, I've, er, had this little idea on if you could help me with it.
12:43Well, what?
12:44Yeah.
12:46With Mum's permission, of course.
12:49Oh, right.
12:51Thanks.
12:52Sorry.
12:53Well, I'll see you on the pier after school.
12:58You coming?
13:00Well, maybe I will.
13:03Kelly's up to something.
13:06She's seeing this mixer. Professional handles Mr G.
13:10And his real name's Granger.
13:13So, what do you think?
13:15Well, he's a little bit heavy on the, er, techno.
13:18Goes over the top with a trance as well.
13:21I mean, you know him myself. I'm more of a traditionalist.
13:24A few hip-hop grooves and garage beats.
13:28Not the music, the DJ, you pillock.
13:31He's got form. Stealing cars.
13:34I suppose it's good for you street, correct?
13:36Not while he's seeing our sister.
13:38Yeah, well, I think he told her, er, he's going straight.
13:43You're late, Kel.
13:44Oh, no. I can't stay. I'm going out.
13:46Oh, I was worried.
13:47We all were.
13:49Oh, really? No-one to make dinner?
13:51I made dinner. It's cold now, though.
13:53Makes a change. I'm sick of playing one.
13:56They even made you a pudding.
13:58Why should I play, Mum?
14:00There's three of the genuine articles in my class already.
14:03Why should I make the four? You eat the pudding.
14:05What is flame banana a la George?
14:11Looks like he's lit a fuse.
14:13Yeah, and there could be an explosion.
14:16But if this Granger character's trouble,
14:18maybe we should go and check him out.
14:20Takes one to know one, Jase.
14:22Yeah, leave him to me.
14:41Nearly there.
14:42He's coming along.
14:45Tom.
14:52I'm looking for a Granger.
15:14You're looking to dance a night away, Sonny?
15:16I'm looking to drive away on a cheap motor.
15:18I heard he could get me one.
15:22I heard he could get me one.
15:28Right, for those of you who haven't heard,
15:30Wendy the whale who was stranded at White Bay died this morning.
15:35I didn't manage to refloat her in time.
15:37And we've heard her family may try and beach as well,
15:41so I thought we should be prepared.
15:43So welcome to Bridehaven Whale Watch.
15:46This is Bob.
15:48Bob the Glob.
15:50He's a Globocephala milas.
15:53That's a long-finned pilot whale, just like Wendy.
15:56A cetacean, like a dolphin or a porpoise.
15:58Almost 19 foot long.
16:00And when, as now, filled with water,
16:03weighs in at a very realistic three tons.
16:07He's got a bulbous head, no beak, rounded dorsal fin, elongated pectoral fin.
16:13He's authentic in every way.
16:15And before too long, he could be stuck on our beach.
16:20Ladies and gentlemen, have I got a drink for you yesterday.
16:24Hey, here she is.
16:26Offering the last club a book for the next year.
16:28She's breaking out some breaking charts.
16:30Here's Kelly Bint.
16:31I can't.
16:32Not me.
16:33That's the trouble though, isn't it?
16:34That's all there is here.
16:35Just see and understand, you know what I mean?
16:37You deserve more than that, girl.
16:38Aye.
16:39Listen.
16:40Come with me, girl.
16:41Into the real world.
16:42I know loads of people.
16:43I'll get us work.
16:44You'll be a singer, girl.
16:45Yeah.
16:46Sing for me, girl.
16:47Now, all this has been hired from a marine champion.
16:50You know what I mean?
16:51You deserve more than that, girl.
16:52No.
16:53Listen.
16:54Come with me, girl.
16:55Come into the real world.
16:56I know loads of people.
16:57I'll get us work.
16:58You'll be a singer, girl.
16:59Yeah.
17:00Sing for me, girl.
17:03Now, all this has been hired from a marine champion.
17:14A marine charity by the council.
17:17Well, they don't know that yet.
17:19And if we can learn how to protect him by using these,
17:23and then to relaunch him by using these,
17:25hopefully we'll know what to do come the real event.
17:28Now, I'm looking for volunteers.
17:31Volunteers to work in shifts,
17:34and watchers for the first sightings,
17:37and others for the holding and relaunching operations.
17:44Speed is all important, so what do you say?
17:47Now, we've got rehearsals day after tomorrow on the East Beach.
17:57Nice beach.
17:58He's looking happier.
17:59Oh, he is, thanks to you and Bob.
18:02Now, all we need is 1,800 quid worth of sponsorship money
18:05to buy some of this borrowed equipment.
18:06You feeling flat?
18:07No, but I know a man who might be.
18:09Tony Simpson.
18:10It's a good cause.
18:11Well, that's not nearly enough reason for Tony Simpson.
18:14That's not nearly the reason I'll use.
18:16No promises, naturally.
18:17No promises, Mike.
18:19Well, can I borrow your son for a while?
18:21There's something going on between those two.
18:24What?
18:25Well, there should be.
18:27I reckon they might need some help.
18:30Well, watch out.
18:31You might not want it.
18:33Buy O'em both.
18:34I've got to try.
18:36Have fun.
18:42Still here?
18:43I'm always here.
18:44That's how come I've got money.
18:46I never have any time to spend it.
18:47Don't you ever knock?
18:48I'm your consultant.
18:49I'm consulting.
18:50I'm busy.
18:54And far too busy to cuddle a fake fish.
18:57You're not a fish.
18:58And nobody wants you to cuddle anything.
19:00God forbid.
19:01No, just sponsor the rest of us to do it.
19:061800 quid?
19:07It's a drop in the ocean for a man of your calibre.
19:11Do you really think I am slaving away here all the hours God sends
19:14just so I can give it away?
19:15Just think about it.
19:17Well, why should I?
19:18Because you're public-spirited.
19:21Because you owe Mike Nicholls.
19:23Who does?
19:24For saving you from bankruptcy at the hands of your crooked wife, perhaps?
19:29I suppose I could always paint courtesy of Simpsons on a fish.
19:33Not a chance.
19:34And it's a mammal, not a fish.
19:36It's a lump of rubber.
19:38150 quid rental a day is what it is.
19:43Your loss.
19:45Hang on a minute.
19:47What do you mean?
19:50It's the reaffirmation of your good name in this community.
19:53Simpsons the saviour, vital contributor to the whale alert
19:57and rejuvenating weary spirits in these bleak off-season days.
20:02It's warm.
20:03It's fuzzy.
20:04It's friendly.
20:05It's a sort of goodwill, apple pie publicity that a hard-hearted despot like you can't buy.
20:10All right.
20:11All right.
20:12I'll do it.
20:13Oh.
20:14All right.
20:15Thanks.
20:16You're gonna have to tell your family you know that, don't you?
20:28I know.
20:29We're going and we're going soon.
20:30I know.
20:31So go and tell them.
20:32Steve.
20:33Come here.
20:34I've got the sponsorship.
20:35All of it.
20:36For the whale.
20:37For the whale or for Mike?
20:38What about Mike?
20:39You tell me.
20:40No, you're not.
20:41No, you're not.

20:55I've got the sponsorship.
20:57All of it.
20:59For the whale.
21:00For the whale
21:02or for Mike?
21:04What about Mike?

31:43The stress can kill him.
32:02A record of breathing, heart rate and constant temperature monitoring will tell us how we're
32:06doing.
32:07A thermistor probe.
32:1012 centimetres into his rectum.
32:16Carried out only by a registered vet.
32:22Experience has shown us that they will calm down and respond to individual human contact.
32:26That's one person talking and gently stroking him.
32:30Jake, that could be your job.
32:40Who are you up to?
32:44Why does everyone always ask me that?
32:46I mean, what are you doing here?
32:50Waiting for you.
32:52You going now?
32:54I think so.
32:56Wanting to avoid any last-minute fuss, yes?
33:02I think so.

33:08Where are they?
33:10Steve and Dad.
33:12Probably playing with their rubber whales.
33:14Dad?
33:16Silly old fart.
33:20Kel.
33:22Looks like you get the last-minute fuss after all.
33:26This protects him from the sun and the cold, drying winds.
33:32Paraffin-soaked sheets and lots of moisturiser.
33:35Or lanolin.
33:37Kel, Granger's no good.
33:42You don't know him.
33:43No-one knows him.
33:44Well, we both know he's been inside.
33:46Our mum's inside!
33:48That's totally different.
33:49It weren't even her fault.
33:50Yeah, just maybe it wasn't his.
33:52Oh, yeah, right.
33:53So should we take those 315 other offences into consideration then, shall we?
33:56Very funny.
34:00Look, he's still doing it, Kel.
34:02Doing what?
34:04Stealing.
34:05He's changed, Jase.
34:09All right.
34:10Just ask him where he gets his money, then.
34:12He does the clubs.
34:13He's a DJ.
34:14Yeah, that's on the sideline when he's not nicking motors.
34:17He doesn't take cars.
34:20You're right, sis.
34:21He's not twerking anymore.
34:23He don't just play with other people's cars.
34:25He decided to make it a career move.
34:27You're wrong.
34:28But he sells them on as well.
34:30I'm telling you.
34:31I know for a fact.
34:32I don't believe you.
34:33Just ask him, Kel.

35:10Pull the cord.
35:18This is freedom, babe.
35:19First stop, Weymouth. Next stop, Weymouth.
35:20I just need to cruise for a while, OK?
35:23Round here. One more time.
35:25Kelly, let's just go!
35:26No!
35:27For God's sake!
35:29I've got to be sure.
35:31All right, fine, yeah. Let's just cruise, yeah?
35:34Coming.
35:52George.
35:53Huh?
35:55He just poured half a bucket of water down his blowhole,
35:58which is effectively his nostril.
36:00And now you're standing on his rather delicate pectoral fin.
36:07It may take a while, but effectively, you've just killed him.
36:10Once their fins are damaged, there's very little chance of recovery.
36:13Sorry, Jules.
36:15Oh.
36:16Sorry, Bob.
36:19I was stranded.
36:21In a tenth-floor council flat.
36:23I was out of social services more than I ever saw a mum.
36:28Where was she?
36:29Why'd she leave you on your own?
36:31Oh, she was more interested in her next boyfriend or something.
36:38See, I was smothered by people like that.
36:40Just do-gooders.
36:44And I escaped.
36:44I'm losing you already, aren't I?
36:50No, listen...
36:51No, I don't want your bike, you see, because they always lose things, mate.
36:54I just need to get my head around all this.
36:57That's all.
36:59See, no-one can hurt me anymore, you know why?
37:04Because I don't care.
37:06Look where you're going.
37:08Oh, you look.
37:09See, I know where I'm going.
37:10Are you coming or not?
37:11Don't push me, Granger.
37:13I just need to see my dad.
37:14You've seen him.
37:16He needs to know I'm going.
37:21Thanks.
37:26I think they're all enjoying themselves.
37:27And none more than Jake.
37:29Thanks, Mike.
37:31Well, I suppose we all feel a little rejuvenated.
37:34It's giving him something to focus on.
37:37Well, you too.
37:39Well, we all need to focus on something.
37:41Someone.
37:43Are you looking for volunteers?
37:45We'll see.
37:53Cups, please.
38:15It's not a change, girl.
38:25Jason said you've gone back to stealing cars and selling a mum.
38:30Jason lied.
38:33Believe me.
38:34So that's it, then?
38:37You're leaving us?
38:39She's 16 now, Mark.
38:41She's a big girl.
38:44Is that what you want, Kelly?
38:45I've seen you a lot before, you know that.
38:48And I can't stand do-gooders.
38:50Face it, man.
38:51Who can stop her, eh?
39:02Those numbers don't match.
39:03I reckon they're stolen.
39:04Don't worry, Dad.
39:07We'll get her back.
39:11And you don't need any of them.
39:12They're all just busybodies.
39:14They're my family.
39:16Yeah, well, you'd better off with me.
39:18Where are we going, Granger?
39:19Take me home.

39:36There's been a report of a stolen vehicle.
39:38I understand your daughter's been seen in said vehicle.
39:41I'm here to take a statement.
39:48Stupid.
39:49What do you mean, stupid?
39:50Oh, I mean stupid.
39:51Now, if you're the one who wanted to go for a drive...
39:53What are you playing at, Granger?
39:54I'm not playing, babe.
39:55It's not a game.
39:58Take me home.
39:59Take me home now.
