00:00From what we've heard, before you signed Sparkle, you were already modeling for different brands.
00:15So has this always been the career path you wanted to be a model?
00:20Since you signed Sparkle, you can do modeling, act, dance, sing, etc.
00:34So what?
00:36What is Nick?
00:38Honestly, modeling has always been, I've been doing that for a while now.
00:43Even during school, it was kind of like my side gig to make some extra money.
00:48But now that the past year I've been doing it and making it my main thing has been great.
00:54I definitely want to add more skills to it.
00:56So actually we had just finished shooting for a horror film, Wakang Titigin.
01:02Wow!
01:03Yay!
01:04For your first movie?
01:06Yes, pa.
01:07Congratulations!
01:08Thank you, pa.
01:09So how are you?
01:10Actually it's super, way different than modeling.
01:14Because you know, modeling is different.
01:16You know, you go in front of the camera here, get your angle done, pose, smile, depending on what it is.
01:21And you can do that even if you're sleeping or something because you're used to it.
01:26Really easy.
01:27Really, really easy.
01:28You know, that's fine.
01:29But acting though, you need to get out of your comfort zone.
01:33You need to be vulnerable.
01:35You need to be open for the camera.
01:38When direct is telling you, cry right now, you need to cry right now.
01:42Like, it's something that I've never experienced.
01:45So I've been really honing in on my skills.
01:47You know, kind of easing my way into it with acting workshops.
01:52It's been very fun and it's definitely different.
01:55But I'm always ever-changing.
01:57I'm always learning and growing.
01:59And it's horror, right?
02:01Yes, pa.
02:02It's different when you're just throwing your dialogue.
02:06But it's horror.
02:07Your facial expression.
02:09Yes, pa.
02:10So what?
02:12So how did you do it?
02:14Aside from workshop, how did you prepare?
02:17Like, it's a horror movie.
02:18So you have to memorize those things.
02:20Do you have a lot of lines?
02:22Long lines?
02:23Actually, luckily, I've been easing into it.
02:27So obviously, they're not going to come out with a leading med role.
02:30That's not the first one.
02:31So of course, I need to ease into it.
02:33I'm very blessed that I'm slowly getting into it.
02:37But you know what really helped me, guys, was working with the other co-stars that are on there.
02:43Really, really good.
02:45It's not just the experience overall.
02:48So I'll give you an example.
02:49Somebody that I've learned from that is younger than me is Marco.
02:54Marco Massa.
02:55Marco, yes.
02:56Marco Massa.
02:57Yes.
02:58Marco Massa.
02:59Yes.
03:00No?
03:01Yes.
03:02So he actually, like he's a child actor, very experienced, so much work under his belt.
03:10You know what I mean?
03:11So it's kind of, it's kind of, you know, like my ego, it's harder for me to go to somebody that's younger than me.
03:17Like, what should I do?
03:18But you know what?
03:19I love to learn.
03:20I really love to learn.
03:21So I've learned how to put my ego aside, put my pride aside and say, what do I need to do for this sequence that's coming up?
03:30How do I prepare for this?
03:32And that's, that's what I, I don't know, just putting my pride aside is what helped me grow.
03:38And I've been relying on my co-stars to really learn that because some of them have done a lot more teleseries than me, a lot more films than me.
03:46So I really need to bounce off of my other co-stars.
03:49And it has gotten me through my first horror film.
03:53Oh, yes.
03:54And yeah, it's super fun.
03:56Your lines are Filipino lines?
03:59Taglish.
04:00Taglish.
04:01Can we ask, what is one good thing, sample?
04:06Okay.
04:07What is one good thing, even quick.
04:09But horror, it needs to be.
04:11Horror?
04:12Isn't that like that?
04:14It's like horror.
04:16How do you deliver?
04:18How?
04:20Maybe if you give me lines, I can do it.
04:22Or the line you're in the film.
04:26Do you remember a few lines?
04:28Oh my gosh, the shooting was a while ago.
04:30I'm on the spot, huh?
04:32But the whole movie is finished.
04:34For example,
04:36what are the lines?
04:40What are you doing?
04:42Who are you doing?
04:44Who are you doing?
04:46Actually, for those ones, I was super...
04:50What are you doing?
04:52That's not like that.
04:54Actually, I'm super excited.
04:56I'm pretty happy that it was a horror film first.
04:58Because you would think that rom-com would be easier,
05:02you know, to make people feel kind.
05:04But actually being scared is more...
05:06I felt like it was definitely easier for me.
05:08For this role,
05:10for this film,
05:12it was easier to...
05:14Wow, easier?
05:16Yes.
05:17Yes, pa.
05:18Yes, pa.
05:19Kaya nga, give us a sample.
05:20Anong inarti mo doon?
05:22How did you...
05:24Ano bang mawari niya?
05:26Ganyan?
05:27Grabe.
05:28Sino ba yan?
05:29Sino ba yan?
05:30Sino ba yan?
05:31Sino ba yan?
05:32Sino ba yan?
05:34Ay!
05:35Ay!
05:36Ay!
05:37Ay!
05:38Ay!
05:39Ay!
05:40Ay!
05:41Sino ba yan?
05:42Sino ba yan?
05:43Sino ba yan?
05:44Is that how you did it?
05:45Yes, pa.
05:46Actually, of course, I need to warm up.
05:48You need to warm up.
05:49Really get into it.
05:50And obviously, when...
05:51It's like you're a bit of a bit of a bit.
05:53You're a bit of a bit.
05:54No, sometimes when you're actually scared...
05:56Like for example, that movie, like when you're on the set, it's super dark.
06:01It's like 1am, 2am.
06:03And then like the lighting.
06:05The lighting, the sound, the creature or...
06:09Because I can't say what it is.
06:11I can't say the experience.
06:13Your character is human.
06:16Hindi ka naman nagtransform to a horror or to a character.
06:19Scary character.
06:20Hindi naman ganon yung character mo.
06:22For me, no.
06:23I wish.
06:24That would be cool.
06:25If you don't have a dialogue, you're like the monster.
06:28The killer.
06:29But I don't have a dialogue.
06:30It should be like that.
06:32Because you're afraid of it.
06:35Or are you the one creating the horror?
06:38Or you're just afraid of it?
06:40I'm part of a group that is...
06:43A team.
06:45I'm in a team.
06:46Part of like a little group that is...
06:49Seeing the horror, I guess.
06:51I just don't wanna say too much for the people.
06:54That's right.
06:55That's right.
06:56Okay.
06:57But let's watch that.
06:58That's right.
