00:00The island of Sodor is home to lots of Thomas' friends.
00:05Friends on the rails, friends on the roads, and even some friends in the air.
00:13They are all very different, and each very special.
00:17And they are all Thomas' friends.
00:21Steamies and diesels aren't always the best of friends.
00:25One day, Neville arrived on Sodor.
00:28Neville was a Steamy, but he was square, so he looked like a Diesel.
00:34Thomas puffed into the shunting yards.
00:37He saw Neville with Ari and Bert.
00:40Ari and Bert were giggling gleefully.
00:42The three engines looked like firm friends.
00:45Thomas was surprised.
00:47If Neville was a friend of the Diesels, Thomas decided he wasn't a friend of the Sodor Steamy's.
00:55Thomas puffed into Knapford.
00:56Soon, all the engines had heard that Neville was best friends with the Diesels.
01:03So none of the Steamy's wanted to talk to him.
01:07Neville felt sad.
01:09He puffed away towards the Iron Bridge.
01:12Then, Toby puffed in.
01:15He told Thomas that Salty had seen Ari and Bert playing tricks on Neville.
01:19Thomas felt terrible.
01:23He had thought all the wrong things about Neville.
01:26Now, Neville was puffing fast to the bridge.
01:29It was Thomas' job to warn the engines that the bridge was broken.
01:33But Thomas had said nothing to Neville.
01:36Thomas raced after Neville.
01:40Neville puffed fast to the bridge.
01:42He saw the barrier, but he couldn't stop.
01:47He crashed through the barrier.
01:54Thomas raced up.
01:57He had to rescue Neville.
01:58He heaved and he hauled, wheel turn by wheel turn.
02:10He pulled Neville back from the edge of the bridge and to safety.
02:15Thomas and Neville are now good friends, even though Neville looks like a Diesel.
02:24Dennis is a Diesel.
02:28And Thomas quickly learned Dennis knew all the Diesel tricks.
02:34It was Thomas' day off.
02:37Dennis asked Thomas to help him shunt his heavy cars of slate tiles for the school.
02:42Thomas is always happy to be helpful.
02:46He puffed and huffed to help the new engine.
02:55Later, Dennis told Thomas he had broken down.
02:59Even though it was his day off, Thomas raced away to find help.
03:05Thomas didn't know that Dennis hadn't broken down at all.
03:09Dennis was just being lazy and playing a trick.
03:12Later, Dennis really did break down.
03:23Thomas was surprised that Dennis had come off the rails.
03:28Dennis told Thomas that he had tricked him before.
03:31That made Thomas cross.
03:34He had never met a really lazy engine.
03:38So he decided to show Dennis how to become a really useful engine.
03:42Thomas buffered up to Dennis and his freight cars.
03:47And together, they delivered the tiles to the school.
03:51Sir Topham Hatt was pleased.
03:54Dennis was very happy Thomas had helped him.
03:56And Thomas was happy to show Dennis that really useful engines make a lot more friends than really lazy ones.
