00:00I don't know where the SEC came up with their tiebreakers, but they clearly whiffed and could possibly be left out altogether of the college football playoff despite being a power conference here, Joe.
00:11Let's get the party started with this one because it's Duke, Virginia.
00:14It's not supposed to be.
00:15Miami should be in there some way, somehow, and take on Virginia.
00:18And then you can look at the nation and say we have a legitimate champion who's going to move into the college football playoff, but we don't.
00:23We could have absolute mayhem if Duke wins another football game as a five-loss team and represents the ACC, I don't know, in the Cheetos Bowl because they didn't even make it in to the college football playoff.
00:35So let's start here, Joe.
00:36Lines three-and-a-half to four, depending where you're shopping at, even some four-and-a-halves in the marketplace, a total of 57-and-a-half.
00:41Before we get to that itself, Joe, talk to me about the ACC and how we got here.
00:47Like, why are we having Duke and Virginia and the ramifications of this game and having a two-loss Miami team basically wrapped in the top ten and can't play in their own championship game because somehow a five-loss team jumps a two-loss team?
01:00Well, I mean, Duke only has two losses in the conference.
01:04They picked up the victory over Wake Forest, which knocked them out.
01:07That really threw in the fact that tiebreaker and then the fact that Pitt lost to Miami.
01:12If Pitt wins that game last week, they're in the ACC championship game with Virginia.
01:16And then we'd have a different story.
01:19We'd be talking potentially about Pittsburgh knocking off, you know, Virginia, a much better matchup.
01:24But, again, this is what happens when you have tiebreakers.
01:27You know, Duke did get blown out at home by Georgia Tech.
01:30They got blown out at home by Illinois.
01:32They have not been a very good home team, but they're 4-2 on the road.
01:36And, again, might have the quarterback advantage, Mensah, over Chandler Morris in this matchup.
01:41It didn't work out a couple of weeks ago where they basically were a four-and-a-half-point home favorite, Donnie.
01:47And they got kicked in the chops by Virginia.
01:50You blinked, and they were down 31-3 in that matchup.
01:53They lost it 34-17.
01:56Now they're catching three-and-a-half, four points in this matchup, and all Virginia has to do is win, baby.
02:03Can they win and just, you know, save the ACC?
02:07See, I think they can because the problem when you look at the matchup for me is that Virginia was able to rush the football for six yards per carry, 224 yards on the ground.
02:18Is that going to change in two weeks?
02:19I don't believe so.
02:20All of a sudden, is Duke going to all of a sudden shore up the front seven against this offensive line?
02:26No, I don't think so.
02:27And that's where I think this matchup comes and is won by the Virginia Cavaliers.
02:31I think they can run it.
02:32They're more disciplined.
02:33And I think their defense could force more turnovers.
02:36That's been the biggest, I think, drop-off for Duke right now is that that defense led by Manny Diaz is allowing 29 points per game.
02:45He's supposed to be a defensive wizard.
02:47You can't get off the field on third downs.
02:49You can't give your quarterback or your offense, you know, a short field in big matchups.
02:55And in games that they should win or be in, like Illinois and Georgia Tech, they lose to turnover battles.
03:01You're not going to win championships playing like that.
03:04So, again, I know that we love underdogs.
03:07It's just, to me, this is a bad matchup.
03:10We'll see how this game plays out.
03:11But I do like the over.
03:1357.5 just because I think we get a lot of chunk plays.
03:17And if you're Manny Diaz and you know that that defense is going to give up a lot of yards on the ground,
03:22your quarterback has to take chances, which means big plays over the top.
