00:00We'll take again the look at the updated odds entering the holiday weekend.
00:04It's SMU in Virginia.
00:06Virginia does square off against Virginia Tech in the rivalry game.
00:11It's a home game for Tony Elliott and the Cavaliers.
00:14This is an opportunity to make the championship game.
00:17We saw Virginia go toe-to-toe a few years ago with Clemson in the title game with Bryce Perkins.
00:23Tony Elliott's done a fantastic job.
00:26If he were to get the Cavaliers an ACC championship, that would be something, especially when he was on the hot seat earlier in his tenure in Charlottesville.
00:35Well, and Virginia Tech's the perfect team to be playing, I think, right now to get him to the championship game.
00:41Getting the winning the championship game is something altogether different.
00:44But I just think he's won four out of his last football games.
00:47Virginia Tech has lost four out of their last five.
00:50Chandler Morris is healthy and back.
00:52He offers great stability to that football team.
00:56And remember, if it were to get a close game, that's UVA's forte.
01:01They have won almost every close game they've played, three overtimes, a lot of one-score games.
01:06And that's what they have done best, to be a great team, a lot of belief in themselves to win close games.
01:12So I like Virginia to win this one and get to that championship game against Virginia Tech.
01:17And then, of course, anything can happen when you get that one-game conference championship game.
01:21Yeah, now a team that's not on that list is Florida State.
01:26They have five wins on the year.
01:27They have a rivalry game against the Florida Gators, coach.
01:32This is their make-it-or-break-it for Mike Norvell.
01:34I know they gave him the vote of confidence.
01:37But you have to follow it up with a win in a rivalry game against a team that is dead and buried in the Gators, three and eight overall.
01:45They got blown out by Tennessee as a three-and-a-half-point underdog.
01:48They need a great showing this weekend in Gainesville.
01:53Well, he's got his job, whether they have it or not.
01:56They didn't come out there four or five weeks ago and say, we'll evaluate it in the season, then come out after last week's loss and say, we officially are going to keep him next year no matter what.
02:07The people are furious.
02:08I will say that, but they can't, I told everybody this earlier, they can't afford to fire him and they're not going to fire him.
02:14So, yes, it would be good for him if they would beat Florida.
02:18But right now, Florida State is committed.
02:21There's a hailstorm of craziness going on with the fans down there.
02:24But I think they've made the decision that they can't afford to lose him regardless of what happens against Florida.
