స్క్రబ్ టైఫస్ కేసులు పెరుగుతున్న నేపథ్యంలో అందరూ అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని విజయవాడ జనరల్ గవర్నమెంట్ హాస్పటల్ సూపరింటెండెంట్ డా.వెంకటేశ్వర రావు సూచిస్తున్నారు. గ్రామీణ, నగరాల్లో పొదలు అధికంగా ఉండే ప్రాంతాల్లో తెల్లని నల్లి మాదిరిగా ఉండే పురుగులు కుట్టడం ద్వారా ఈ వ్యాధి సోకుతుందని తెలిపారు. జ్వరం, వణుకు, తలనొప్పి, కండరాల నొప్పి, చర్మంపై దద్దుర్లు వంటి లక్షణాలు ఉన్న వాళ్లు వెంటనే వైద్యులను సంప్రదించాలన్నారు. ఆరంభంలోనే గుర్తించి చికిత్స తీసుకుంటే.. ఎలాంటి ప్రమాదం ఉండదని వైద్యులు తెలిపారు. విజయవాడ ప్రభుత్వాసుపత్రికి వస్తే.. వెంటనే నిర్ధారణ పరీక్షలు చేస్తారు. ఆసుపత్రికి అనుబంధంగా ఉన్న సిద్ధార్థ కళాశాలలోని మైక్రోబయాలజీ ల్యాబ్లోనే వ్యాధి నిర్ధారణ చేస్తున్నారు.
