43:53my parents were both junior hockey coaches
43:55and they were hit by a drunk driver when i was 12 years old
44:02mercifully for them they died instantly
44:05mercifully for me the saint thomas scholarships existed
44:12i didn't have anybody else to help me
44:16had a lot of memories a love of hockey and a huge hole in my heart
44:20st thomas filled it with hope the hope of a new family
44:28things things weren't always easy you know they never are for anybody but
44:34in hockey i found what i was missing
44:38first at my high school then later a college and now here with the admittals
44:43and i never looked back because i never had to
