00:26insisting his mission was to put narco-terrorists
00:29at the bottom of the ocean.
00:30However, viewers were too distracted by the double S showcase beside his name.
00:35California Governor Gavin Newsom mocked the typo, asking,
00:38What does the SS stand for? Interesting.
00:41Appointed reference to Nazi Germany's SS.
00:44Journalist Nick Monroe and others also piled on,
00:47joking that someone would so be fired for the syssecretary blunder.
00:51One viewer questioned how such an error slipped through at a televised cabinet meeting,
00:55asking how the most powerful group of people could miss the double S on Hegseth's name card.

01:08Pointing out the symbolism behind the typo,

01:11SS is kind of fitting, to be honest.

01:28Others used the typo to revive accusations about Hegseth's alleged drinking habits.

01:36while another ex-user claimed he
01:38stutters when he's drunk.
01:40Hegseth has denied past allegations of drinking during veterans' events,
01:44though former Fox News colleagues described his alleged heavy alcohol use
01:48in 2024 interviews with NBC News.
