00:00So let's just jump right in. Congratulations on your engagement. Tell me about how it happened

00:09and just everything. I mean, honestly, it's been so hard to even try to like talk about it without

00:18crying all the time because we've been holding this in since the 8th, which was Friday is when

00:25I got engaged and we just kind of wanted to make sure that all of our friends and family and

00:32everybody knew before, you know, social media and like that, because we didn't want people to be

00:38offended because let's be honest, everybody just kept being like, thank you for calling and like

00:43telling us before we thought we would just see it, you know, on Friday. Yeah, like the private

00:49celebrations too. Right. Yes. And, um, so, so it all started. Well, here's the ring.

00:58I love it. I'm like, I told, I told my Beyonce, I said, I'm sorry if I can't like look at you in

01:06the face. Like I just like, I might as well walk around like this. So sweet. Um, so it all started,

01:16I guess he asked my parents back in July. So he had already had the ring and everything like that

01:23then. And we were like traveling around the world, pretty much going on all these like lavish

01:28vacations. And I was like, okay. And then he bought me some clothes and it was like white dresses and

01:35all this like stuff. So I was like, all right, I'm going to be prepared. Right. Like my girlfriend's

01:40like your nails done, have your hair done. I was like, I can do that. That's pretty standard.

01:44Um, so then it was like, well, he asked my son, which obviously is my number one supporter in

01:56anything. So whatever he says goes. And he said that when he asked, my son said, I have one request

02:03that I am a part of the proposal. That is so true. So my fiance, he was like, I was going to do it in

02:12the Maldives. I was going to like announce everything then. But when he told me that he

02:18wanted to be a part of it, there was no way. So we had to do it. This, this is going to do it. So

02:24they took me on a belated birthday dinner since he couldn't be in town for my birthday. And my son

02:30said, we should get her a limo and she loves champagne. So we'll get her a limo with champagne

02:36and we're going to ride out to the beach and go to dinner and, you know, we'll do it out there.

02:42Well, the weather turned out to be terrible, of course. And, um, a lot of the places, I guess

02:50they were trying to like a private dock and things like that. They were trying to get to

02:54or close for a private event and they, they couldn't do that. So we go on this limo excursion

03:02and my son and him are in the limo twerking and having the best time. Like it was so, and

03:09we're heading home and I'm like, okay. So it was just a belated birthday. My girlfriends are like

03:16texting me because obviously they had knew something I didn't know. And they were like,

03:19it's happening. It's happening. I was like, no, y'all, it was just a dinner. And we, yeah,

03:25it was a dinner. It was belated. This was Hudson's dinner for me. And, you know, Brett surprised

03:30me. And then we get back home and Hudson's distracting me. And next thing I know, I turn

03:37around and he's down on one knee. And I mean, I like blackout. I'm like, what are you, what's

03:45even coming out of your mouth? Like, I can't even understand. I didn't look at the ring

03:49because I thought that I would break eye contact, but I'm like, I'm like ugly crying. My son's

03:55in the background going like, yay, like doing this whole thing. And it was just the cutest.

04:03It was the cutest moment ever. I would never like change it for the world. Like it was to

04:10have both of them there, like the two people that I love the most. And like, I, I will never

04:15forget it, but it is, it's not on camera. There's not photographers. There's not nothing like that.

04:21It was, it was an intimate moment that he's like, I've been waiting for a long time to

04:27do this. And this was the time. So. Oh my gosh. That sounds perfect. And it's like own

04:33way. And it's so sweet that your son was such a big part of it. Cause I know that it really

04:40was. Cause I mean, not only is he getting me, but he's getting him as well. And I think

04:45that he's excited about that. So. Yeah. Now, um, you didn't, you announced your relationship

04:53with Brett back in like June. How did you write around June? You guys posted kind of your first

04:59together. How did you know that he was the one, you know, so early on? Well, so we actually

05:06started dating in, um, April. Okay. So it was, I didn't like tell people for a little while

05:13just because I obviously had to make sure everything was hand out. I mean, I was like,

05:20this guy is like too perfect. Like I'm going to have to hire some people to like, make sure

05:25this guy's checking out. And he was like beyond better than I could have ever imagined. And,

05:31um, he doesn't do social media or anything like that. So when a lot of people thought that

05:38guy was like trying to hide him, that was not, that's, that's not what I was trying to

05:43do. I mean, he, he just has no interest in that. And I'm so blessed for that. Cause I'm

05:50like, yeah, that can cause a lot of issues in any relationship. Um, but yeah, it was just

05:58when I released that, I was kind of like, listen, some of our exes are probably going to get a

06:06little crazy and come out with some weird stuff or say things about you, but that's just kind of

06:11like the name of this game, you know, but we have stayed strong and like, nobody has really

06:20gotten in between us. And I doubt that they will ever, I mean, it's not going to work.

06:27Exactly. We're like losing love. Like, I think my friends like hate hanging out with us because

06:32they're like, get a room or terrible. I know. Well, how did you know that he was the one,

06:40like, when was the first moment that you were like, this is like the real deal for me and him?

06:45Oh, the day that I met him. I like, I met him on a girl's trip and I was with, um, a group of

06:53girls. There was 12 of us. And he was for one of his guys' birthday parties. And I'm here with,

07:00like, I'm talking like supermodel girls. I mean, every single girl I was with is like either like

07:07six one, you know, even Naomi was there with us. And like, it was, we locked eyes and like did not

07:16break eye contact the whole entire time. And I looked at, I was like, that guy just looked through

07:21my soul. Like, and he is like, I don't know. So then he chased me out because we left the restaurant

07:28we were at. And, um, he's like, wait, I like, I've got to take you out. And I was like, okay.

07:36I was like, you can take me out, but you can take me out in South Carolina. And we were in Arizona. So

07:42he was like, I'll do it. I'll take you out. And I flew here, took me on a date. And I was like,

07:49this is, this is the man I told, I told my girlfriends, I said, I promise y'all, I don't

07:56know when, but that is, he's the one. And my mom always said, you're going to know, like, when you

08:02know, you know, but it was something I never had like felt before. It was like, like took my, he like

08:09took my breath away. Literally. Yeah. No, I get that. And then there's like no anxiety or anything

08:15surrounding the relationship. Like you just feel so sure all the time. And you're like, whoa.

08:21Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Perfect. That's so great. So then he ended up staying in North Carolina or like

08:29kind of did long distance for a little bit. Yeah. We still are long distance right now.

08:36Wow. So what we pretty much do is work our tail off and then we get back, you know, and then we have

08:42like a week together and then one of us will go and then we kind of like are going back and forth,

08:47but it's really not, it's, it's not bad at all. And I told him we couldn't live together until we

08:53were married. So we have, you know, a year of that, but I think it's going to be, we make it work.

09:00Yeah. We have tons of plans for the holidays. So, you know, a lot of travel.

09:06And how is his relationship? Obviously it's very strong with Hudson and he loves him. Like he's

09:11already his own. Um, what was it like seeing them together kind of for the first time and meeting?

09:17And well, I asked my son this, I said, I was like, what did you think the first time you met him?

09:23And he said that he was the one I was like, Oh my God. He's like, I just knew like, that's it.

09:31You know? And when I see them together, it just confirms it even more any like, and I never had any

09:39doubt from the beginning, but that just, it was just like a bonus of why I wasn't worried about

09:46rushing things. Cause I mean, not only did I feel it, but so did my son. So it's so good.

09:56Now tell me about this ring that is gorgeous. Is it everything you wanted? Is it, um, you know,

10:03how did he design it? Um, so what's funny is when he first, when we kind of first got on the topic of,

10:11um, you know, cause I'd been married before and he had been engaged before in his past. And so,

10:18you know, it wasn't something that we were like afraid to talk about, or we hadn't both experienced.

10:23So it was what he was like, what would you want? You know, if you were to get engaged again, I'm like,

10:32Oh yeah, easy. Okay. I was like, I have a girl. I was like, um, she's one of my girlfriends in New

10:39York who is a jeweler. Her name's Nicole Rose. I'm sure you've heard of her. Uh, she, uh, dresses all

10:47of us for Bravo and things like that. And me and her always have had these talks where I'm like,

10:52if I get to the point where I meet a man that I'm going to marry, I'm just going to send him your way.

11:00And you just tell them that like, I like this and I like this and I hate that. And I,

11:04you know, I sent him, I was like, this is the girl. And, um, I, I was like, I like solitaire. I like

11:15emerald. I like, that's about it. I don't, I was like, I don't want, I said, the only thing I don't

11:20want to like cluster diamond or anything like that. I was like, but that's the free range.

11:26Little, I did not know it was going to be this big, um, but who complained about that? I was like,

11:33holy crap. I was like, this is for me. I was like, um, yes, I'm so happy. I mean,

11:41yeah, I might need to meet Nicole and to have her. Yes. Nicole. She's like the girl you like

11:47want. Right. Like even like bracelet here, it was, uh, he got a gift for, I can't remember why

11:55he got me this, but he went to Nicole and was like, Hey Madison, I want to get her, you know,

12:01something, some jewelry. And she knows that I love anything like dainty. Like I, that's just,

12:07that's what I like. So this also, he got from her and then this, I was like, what the hell?

12:14Yeah. Like she's a good friend to have. Seriously. Um, now I know it's early, but do you have a wedding

12:22plan? Do you have just like an image in your head of what you want? Timing? You know, I have, um,

12:31considering I've been married before, I mean, I've never even tried on a wedding dress before. So

12:36this'll be totally new for me. Like even like going into the wedding and he has a large family

12:42and so do I. So that's going to take up a big number of, um, of this. So I'm thinking more

12:50intimate, small, around 50 to 70 people, like nothing crazy, um, possibly destination. Like I

13:00even joked, I was like, you want to go to Vegas? And then he was like, we can't know, but I was like,

13:05be fun. Um, but you know, I, I have ideas, but I think that my Pinterest board of, uh, weddings are

13:13like vintage at this point. Um, because I've not thought about any of this for a long time and

13:21yeah. So I'm just gonna, hopefully people have suggestions and options and there's some good

13:28wedding planning, uh, people here local, that's for sure. So I just want to make sure that whatever

13:36I do is timeless and, you know, romantic, I guess. Um, well, and that kind of brings me to, um,

13:46Amazon live where you are going to be announcing your engagement. So why was Amazon live the place

13:52that you wanted to break this news? Well, it just happened to be my first, uh, job after being

14:02engaged. And I'm like, how am I going to like, like, we got to tell at some point. I mean, I've

14:10been like holding off for so long. And not only that, I'm like, some of the things that I'm going

14:16to put in my Amazon live is like, we have some bachelorette stuff, some fun stuff. And yeah,

14:22it was just kind of happened to be like, okay, well, by the way, you're going on live in a few

14:28days. So this will be your, your outlet that you're gonna, and not only that, but I think you

14:34can do registry on Amazon. Um, so, which hopefully that works out for all the people that can't attend

14:41the wedding. I can just send it on over. Exactly. Well, that's what I was thinking too,

14:48just when you were saying, you know, there's, you know, so much advice, like the people can offer

14:52and things like that. I mean, through Amazon live, that's a really great outlet to kind of

14:56interact with your fans and hear from them, their thoughts on what you should, you know, do.

15:01Exactly. And I'm going to take all the advice I can get when it comes to that.

15:07Yeah. Definitely. Do you have specific products, um, planned out for your live?

15:15Um, yeah, so I have, so I'm going to talk about, I mean, we're going back old school,

15:19but like, I'm just going to say sometimes these things just don't ever change. And these hot rollers,

15:26this is, yes. So this is just a five, just a five, like jumbo pack. Now you still would want to like

15:34curl your hair, right? Like after you would do that. So this would be after your blowout,

15:40some people would use Velcro rollers, but for me, I get like static. So then I would pop these in

15:46instead. And then, then you would curl the hair so you can get that like bounce. So I am going to

15:53like bring these back and they're like very reasonable product. And then this is like, it's hard to see

16:01where this is like a pretty potion. Um, it, this is awesome. Like it will give you like a sheen to

16:10your body. So like, if you want to put it on your legs, when you're wearing a short dress or your

16:14collarbones, it's like a good product to have, to just give you that extra glow that we all need.

16:21So I'm going to, um, hopefully I'm going to be able to like show you guys how to the placement

16:29of the hot rollers, um, that product. So I'm going to try to like actually show you guys that it works

16:36and, um, some cute stuff. We got a little, some handbags. I thought this would be cute.

16:42That is so cute. Amazon fashion. Yeah, I know. And it's so easy. And I'm like,

16:49I need this in two days anyways. Right. So that's, I love it. Plus great bachelorette products.

16:56Honestly, like that's where I do all my shopping for bachelorette parties. They have great big kits

17:02that you can get different themes, different themes. I'm hoping like all my girlfriends, um,

17:09that are going to be planning the bachelorette are like going to be buying this because I'm going to

17:14give you guys like an exclusive discount. So hopefully they, they get on there.

17:19I love it. I want all this stuff. I want all the things.

17:26I'm like, can we go to Nashville for like my bachelorette just so I can wear a cowgirl hat with

17:31a veil. I mean, I don't know. I just, as you should. Absolutely. Um, well, Madison,
