00:04In September 2020, Page Six confirmed that the Oscar-winning actor had married comedian

00:09Dave McCary after three years together.

00:12And while these two like to keep their relationship low-key, we're dishing what we know about

00:16their happy romance.

00:19While Dave McCary might be an industry player just like his wife, he has taken on a behind-the-scenes

00:24role in comedy, including writer, director, producer, and editor.

00:28He kick-started his career by founding the sketch comedy group Good Neighbor with his longtime

00:33friends, current Saturday Night Live stars Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney.

00:38McCary also roamed the hallowed halls of 30 Rock as a writer and director for SNL from 2014

00:44to 2019.

00:45Then, in 2017, he made his directorial debut with Brigsby Bear.

00:50McCary also directed and executive produced Julio Torres' HBO special My Favorite Shapes

00:56in 2019.

01:14While she's been tackling more serious subjects in her films these days, longtime fans know

01:19that Emma Stone built her career using her comedy chops, starring in Superbad, Easy A, and

01:25Zombieland.

01:26"'I mean, if you love someone, you shoot them in the face.'"

01:30As a child, Stone even took improv classes to help her cope with crippling anxiety and

01:35panic attacks.

01:36She told Rolling Stone,

01:37"'You have to be present in improv, and that's the antithesis of anxiety.'"

01:44It makes sense, then, that Stone reportedly first met McCary on the set of Saturday Night

02:03"'So many great memories in this place, but probably the one that sticks with me is this

02:08fling that I had with the guy on the show back then.'"

02:11Beyond their professional lives, this couple likes to lay low.

02:14Stone doesn't even have a public social media presence, telling Elle,

02:18"'I think social media wouldn't be a positive thing for me.

02:22Anything that really bothers me that people could comment on is something I'm already worried

03:08As a source told Entertainment Tonight that he found the pearl and diamond bauble from celeb

03:13favorite jeweler Catbird.

03:15And even though Stone is an A-lister, her ring gets an A for affordability.

03:19Shortly after the engagement news broke, her ring remained available online for just over

03:27The unique sparkler seems a stellar choice for the down-to-earth star.

03:32Stone and McCary planned to marry in mid-March 2020 in a private ceremony.

03:37But as we're all well aware, the coronavirus pandemic changed many people's lives.

03:42At the time, an insider told Page Six that the couple had postponed their wedding without

03:47setting a new date.

03:48But less than two months after reportedly cancelling the ceremony, Stone's Ring Finger suggested

03:54she had tied the knot after all.

03:56In May 2020, she appeared in a virtual chat for the Child Mind Institute with the doctor

04:01and Reese Witherspoon, where fans noticed a new gold band on Stone's Ring Finger.

04:12Thankfully, I didn't do that.

04:13Four months later, in September 2020, the sound of virtual wedding bells rang throughout

04:18the internet when photos surfaced of Stone and McCary on a walk in L.A., both rocking matching

04:24gold wedding bands.

04:26That same month, Page Six confirmed the two had made it official, with a source telling InTouch

04:31that the two had a, quote, simple and perfect ceremony, and adding,

04:35They plan on having a downsized wedding and reception for their friends and family once

04:40this is all over.

04:42Stone certainly made the most of her 20s, starring in several hit movies, coupling up with Andrew

04:47Garfield and topping it all off by nabbing the Academy Award for Best Actress for La La

04:53Land.

04:54But as she approached the big 3-0, she started looking for stability, telling Elle,

04:58It's weird how much turning 30 crystallizes your life.

05:02Instead of just living the dreams that I had in my youth, what do I actually want as an

05:06adult?

05:07Claiming she originally had zero interest in ever getting married or having children,

05:11she added,

05:12And then I got older, and I was like, I really want to get married.

05:16I really want to have kids.

05:18While it appears she's found her prince charming, in early January 2021, E! News confirmed the

05:23couple is indeed expecting their first child together.
