00:00Kiki Palmer is giving an update on where things stand between her and one of her former Scream
00:04Queen's co-stars who made a racist remark to her while on set. The actress revealed last year while
00:10promoting her memoir, Master of Me, The Secret to Controlling Your Narrative, recalling a time
00:15when creator Ryan Murphy allegedly called her unprofessional, and a former co-star making a
00:20racist remark to her after Palmer tried to mediate tensions between them and another colleague.
00:25Palmer writes that the person said in response at the time,
00:27Kiki literally just don't. Who do you think you are? Martin f***ing Luther King?
00:31Palmer starred for two seasons on the Fox series alongside Emma Roberts, Billy Lord,
00:36Skylar Samuels, and Lea Michele. Though Palmer never reveals the identity of the co-star that
00:40made the remark, she did share that they have yet to apologize. In a new interview with The Cut,
00:45Palmer said that even though the co-star has never apologized for what they said,
00:49they did reach out to her on Instagram to congratulate Palmer on the release of her book.
00:53I was like, hey thanks, it feels good. She was just checking the temperature,
00:56she knows what she did. As for Murphy, Palmer told The Cut she hasn't directly heard from him
01:01since sharing the anecdote. The point of my bringing up Ryan Murphy wasn't f*** Ryan Murphy,
01:05he ain't f***ed. It was, look, I did what I had to do for me, and it caused me an issue with one of
01:10the most popular and successful men in the industry. And sometimes getting to your personal success may
01:15cost you to do the same thing. For more on this story, head to THR.com. And for the latest
