Yes, Frontiers of Pandora launched before. But with recent expansions and new game modes, it might be time to jump back in.
Transcript
00:00It might just be the most immersive way yet to experience the world of Pandora, and one
00:13of Ubisoft's most ambitious projects to date.
00:17It's called Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, and it's being developed by Ubisoft's massive
00:22entertainment, the studio behind the Division series.
00:26In close collaboration with Disney and James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment.
00:31Speaking to GamesRadar, creative director Magnus Janssen claims the game, which uses the latest
00:37version of Ubisoft's Snowdrop engine, will push the envelope of technology just like they
00:43do in the films.
00:45Gameplay details are sparse, but it will be a first-person open-world experience, featuring
00:50a standalone story set sometime between the first two films.
00:55With players exploring the Western Frontier, a never-before-seen region of Pandora.
01:01As Janssen explains, our goal has always been to allow people to finally get to go there
01:06and be immersed in that world, feel it and interact with it, and there was no better way
01:11to do so than first-person.
01:14While the game has been in development since at least 2017, it was delayed as of July 2022,
01:21and is now set to release in Ubisoft's next fiscal year sometime before March 2024.
