00:05A new report reveals why Austin Theory was removed from the original men's War Games lineup,

00:11which initially included CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Jimmy Uso, and L.A. Knight,

00:17or J. Uso vs. Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed, Braun Breaker, Brock Lesnar, and Austin Theory.

00:24Injuries to Seth Rollins and Jacob Fatu led WWE to redesign the match,

00:28with the final teams featuring Breaker, Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, and Bronson Reed

00:33against CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and The Usos.

00:38On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that Theory was originally supposed to be in War Games.

00:44He said,

00:45Originally, he was supposed to be in War Games before the Jacob Fatu injury forced them

00:49to move up the Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre feud one month.

00:53Thus opened both of them up for War Games, with Rhodes as Fatu's replacement

00:57and the feeling was McIntyre would fit better in the match than Theory.

01:02He added that Braun Breaker pinning CM Punk was done to set up a future title match.

01:09and the original plan was for him to be part of the Vision.
