00:00I'll tell you about ratings.
00:01Mike Tomlin's rating in Pittsburgh, quite low right now,
00:04where they're talking about him going back to college.
00:06Let's take a look at some of these past comments for Tomlin
00:08actually talking about college.
00:11Mike, at any point in your coaching career,
00:14did you ever have an interest or express an interest
00:17in being a head coach in the college game?
00:19And do you have any idea how that may or may not have led
00:23to folks like Ryan and Doug Whaley and Carson Palmer
00:25connecting you to some college jobs?
00:27Hey, guys, I don't have time for that speculation.
00:30I mean, that's a joke to me.
00:32I got one of the best jobs in all of professional sport.
00:36Why would I have any interest in coaching college football?
00:40That'll be the last time that I address it.
00:42And not only today, but moving forward.
00:44Never say never, but never.
00:48Okay?
00:49Anybody else got any questions about any college jobs?
00:52There's not a booster with a big enough blank check.
00:56Anyone else?
00:58All right.
00:59Anybody asking Sean Payton about that?
01:02You know, anybody asking Andy Reid about stuff like that?
01:04Oh, he's about to get asked by it again,
01:11because now you have previous players and stalwarts in that organization
01:15in the past going, hey, he'd be a good fit at Penn State.
01:18Let's make that happen, Joe.
01:20Somebody's got to, come on.
01:21If I am in that press room, that's the first question he's getting.
01:24Any rumors that you're going, any truth of the rumors
01:27that you are going to Penn State, coach?
01:29What do you think, Joe?
01:30You know, Donnie, before I had seen that clip there,
01:34I would have said, there's no way he's going back to college.
01:37Now that I've seen that clip, he's going back to college.
01:40He's probably already half a foot in the door at the Penn State job.
01:44Just saying.
01:45I'm just saying.
01:46And that was a whole lot of energy and effort to dispel a question
01:51that a simple, yeah, no, next question would have subvised.
01:56And by the way, when he says there's no check big enough from a booster,
01:59Penn State is in a tough spot right now.
02:02And if he goes, I make $15 million with the Steelers,
02:05and they go, we'll pay you $18 million,
02:08and it'll be a guaranteed contract for five years,
02:10and you can do whatever you want, that might not be a bad option.
02:13You stay and stay, you go to Penn State, and away you go at this point.
