Alleged childcare paedophile Joshua Dale Brown hit with more charges

An alleged paedophile who worked in more than 20 Victorian childcare centres has been charged with dozens of new sexual offences. Joshua Dale Brown was first arrested in May and now stands accused of assaulting 12 children in four centres.

00:21Police today revealed it's another childcare centre where they allege Brown sexually offended.

00:27My hands were shaking and I, it was like, I felt like I'd been winded.

00:33Police have charged Brown with 83 more offences, meaning he now faces 156 charges in all.

00:40He's accused of abusing four more children, taking the number of alleged victims to 12.

00:46Brown previously faced charges relating to one Point Cook childcare centre, but police

00:51now say alleged victims attended three others.

00:55The centre in Point Cook in 2019, a centre in Williamstown in 2020 and 2021, and one in

01:01Keylor earlier this year.

01:04Among the charges he's facing, a penetration of a child under 12, producing child abuse material

01:10and sexual assault.

01:12Unrelated to his time at childcare centres, are 12 counts of bestiality.

01:17Brown worked at 23 childcare centres in all over about 8 years, up until his arrest in May.

01:24Police say their investigation is ongoing, but they haven't said whether they expect to

01:29lay more charges.

01:31The whole experience has shaken Sarah, who says she won't be sending her newborn to childcare.
