00:00Alright Trainers, before you dive headfirst into Pokemon Legends ZA, here are a few things
00:05I really wish someone had told me.
00:07Keep your distance from opponents if you want your Pokemon to dodge their attacks.
00:11Legends ZA has a real-time battle system and it's great fun once you get accustomed to
00:16its unique flow.
00:17Use long-range attacks to keep your distance, as the extra space gives you much more room
00:21to move from side to side to dodge.
00:24Moves have different effects worth experimenting with.
00:27Moves in Legends ZA often have very different, or at the very least altered, effects compared
00:32to the turn-based games.
00:33Moves like Spikes and Stealth Rock leave some obstacles on the field that can damage opposing
00:38Pokemon, while some like Waterfall and Flame Wheel will see Pokemon charge forward in a
00:43straight line, damaging everything in sight.
00:47Strategy is totally different here and there's lots to experiment with.
00:50Status effects have been altered.
00:52Status effects like Poison and Freeze work pretty differently here.
00:56Poison and Burn are brutal.
00:58Any Pokemon afflicted will rapidly lose health, since it's no longer lost on a turn-by-turn
01:03basis.
01:04While Sleep has been adapted to make Pokemon drowsy with move cooldowns extended when afflicted
01:09with it.
01:10I am so excited with it.
01:11I am so excited to have a new video to be able to activate this video.
