00:00This could be a really bad sign for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey, something that Travis has just revealed about their relationship.
00:09So they're doing their latest episode of New Heights.
00:12They had George Clooney on as the guest and asked George something about his relationship with his wife, Amal,
00:19which led to Travis's big revelation about fights between himself and Taylor.
00:25Here's how it all played out.
00:26You claim that you and your wife haven't gotten in a fight in 10 years.
00:30That's right.
00:30Are you lying?
00:31No, I'm not lying.
00:33Shall we ask you the same questions?
00:36Well, it's only been two and a half years and you're right.
00:38I haven't gotten an argument into it.
00:42All right.
00:42Never once.
00:43Honestly, you know, neither of us are going to win the arguments.
00:46So why get in?
00:47Dude, I'm 64 years old.
00:49And what am I going to argue about at this point?
00:51You know, I'm like, yeah, you know, I've met this incredible woman that, you know, is, you know, she she's beautiful and smart.
01:00And she stands for all the most important things that I believe in in the world.
01:04And I, I can't believe how lucky I am.
01:07So what am I going to fight about?
01:08You can use that if you want.
01:09I'm stealing it for sure.
01:10I'm just, I'm just taking notes.
01:13Okay.
01:14There is a difference between a fight and an argument.
01:17I'm not saying a physical fight.
01:18Right.
01:18But a fight can be more of an intense argument.
01:22But I think that's what they're talking about.
01:23It's intense arguments.
01:25I know.
01:25And Clooney said we've never gotten in a fight.
01:28And then what Travis said was, I haven't even argued with Taylor.
01:33So it's not even to the, you know, I want to leave.
01:37No, I don't want to leave.
01:38It's like we've never gotten in an argument, period.
01:41And you think that's a bad sign.
01:42I do, because I think what happens is people are just never the mirror of the other person.
01:48And if there's something that you don't like or would rather they didn't do,
01:53or when you wanted to do something that you didn't, it, it, it, it, it, it stays inside you.
01:58You internalize it.
02:00And that stuff builds and builds and builds over time.
02:03But what it causes resentment and letting it out is healthy.
02:07But what if you let it out and it doesn't create an argument?
02:09Like, you can have disagreements and talk about those disagreements without it becoming an argument.
02:15But don't you think people—
02:16Without it becoming a fight.
02:16Do you think people never have conflicts in that sense, that one person wants one thing and the other wants another?
02:23They all do.
02:24Everybody does.
02:24They do, but it doesn't have to turn into conflict.
02:26They've been together, Charles, for two and a half years.
02:28And that's, I think, the bigger issue.
02:30That is a lie.
02:31No, I think that's not a lie.
02:32Because there is no way in two and a half years that at some point they didn't get in some type of argument.
02:37Remember, the first—
02:37There's just no way.
02:38Remember, the first year and a half of their relationship, they were basically long-distance.
02:42Right, but they were probably on the phone every day for hours.
02:46I have no doubt.
02:47Their time was so limited, they're not going to argue about anything.
02:50That's just half the time.
02:51Charles, that's fine in the first few months.
02:52You're not going to argue about anything on the phone when you're on the phone with somebody for years.
02:56You know, I'm tired.
02:58I want to go to bed.
02:58No, I want to talk.
03:00You know, there's a time difference.
03:02So you're not a fan of long-distance relationships, clearly.
03:05He's hardly a fan of relationships, period.
03:08I mean, this guy does love arguing.
03:10Long-distance relationships are hard.
03:12And that's the point.
03:13For sure.
03:13They're hard.
03:14He can't imagine that you're not arguing with somebody because you're all about arguing at all times.
03:19It's healthy.
03:20It's healthy to get it out.
03:22I actually like it now because I got it out.
