00:00Are we about to pop the humanoid robot bubble?
00:03Apparently, we're inflating a brand new balloon filled with humanoid robots that probably still can't fold your laundry properly.
00:10Lately, tech watchers warn we might be in an AI bubble, with money flying faster than products.
00:15China's top economic planners are sounding the alarm about another overheated arena, humanoid robotics.
00:21The idea, in theory, sounds amazing.
00:24A robot that looks, moves, and works like a human without coffee breaks or complaining on slack.
00:29In reality, though, building one is closer to an engineering nightmare.
00:33Engineers struggle with basics, hands that don't crush and bodies that don't topple, lifting a box shaped like, well, a box.
00:42Despite challenges, money keeps pouring in, and in China alone, over 150 companies are working on humanoid robots.
00:49According to Li Chao of China's National Development and Reform Commission, many robots look different on PowerPoint slides but are similar under the hood.
00:57The worry, too many copy-paste robots chasing too little real demand.
01:02Citigroup is predicting exponential growth in robot production next year, exciting or horrifying whether you picture helpful assistants or confused metal interns.
01:12If the humanoid robot bubble pops, fallout could be messy, and companies that bet big might run out of money.
01:17Smaller players may get absorbed by larger ones or quietly disappear like forgotten apps on your phone, and funding could dry up.
01:24Affordable robot helpers in every home may be delayed again, because inventing a mechanical person is harder than making another AI chatbot.
01:32On the upside, a slowdown in China could give U.S. robotics firms breathing room, lowering component costs and competition for talent.
01:40But don't get too comfortable.
01:41This advantage would be temporary, while China restructures and gets back on its feet.
01:46No one knows for sure if we're truly in a humanoid robot bubble or just in an awkward growth phase.
01:52If history is any guide, tech loves a hype cycle, especially one with shiny metal arms and a questionable sense of balance.
02:02Go why not to love?
02:05No one knows for playing more.
02:07We can also see a humanoid robot stream, which will produce a type of equipment.
02:11It will be a few minutes later, to bless your mind if you put it in a way.
02:14We give it a few minutes later.
02:21In the same day, we can continue to play with a few minutes later.
02:25Make sure that you don't always have a new life.
