00:01Mankind has always reached for the forbidden.
00:06Not to satisfy its hunger, but its pride.
00:13Even in paradise, the fall began with a whisper, a hiss, a single fruit.
00:22We sink our teeth into what should remain untouched, and in doing so we break the seals meant to protect us from ourselves.
00:35In the year of the Lord, 1307, Philip, king of France, levelled accusations against the Knights of the Temple.
00:46Heresy, he claimed, spreading the word of Baphomet.
00:50But it was not the truth he sought, only their wealth.
00:57He could not have known that beneath their chapels lay vaults locked away from this world,
01:05holding his secret far more dangerous than gold or relics.
01:10The king and his men reveled in their spoils, seeing only another plunder.
01:21They were utterly blind to the doom they had unleashed.
01:25But years later, the shadows began to speak, and the land itself would whisper of their terrible mistake.
01:37Beasts grew restless, the woods turned strange, and men began to walk in their sleep into blackened groves.
01:52And the realm, once meant for divine creation, fell into the grasp of abomination.
02:01Mankind has always reached for the forbidden, and the fruit of one sin has borne many.
02:19Anno Domini, 1350, though perhaps no longer the year of the Lord.
02:29For prophecy tells of the coming of the seven deadly sins, to gorge upon the souls of mankind.
02:41And only faith and steel shall see us through this darkness,
02:46lest we all descend into domination eternal.
