00:11whose work against extreme climate, the ravages of malnutrition, in tapping clean and renewable energy,

00:18and lifting people from poverty was recognized by the President in this year's Galing Pook Awards.

00:24I have this report gathered by Clayzel Pardilia.

00:26Bread in exchange for plastic bottles, street cams in barangay corners that can be used during emergencies,

00:35free bus rides for school children, just some of the outstanding programs of the 10 barangays

00:41honored by President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. at the Galing Pook Awards 2025.

00:47Napakabago, nakakapag-isip kayo talaga ng mga panibagong paraan kung paano na makilahok ang ating mga kababayan,

00:55ang taong bayan, hindi lamang sa pamalahan, ngunit kundi pati na sa ating mga pagtulong, sa ating mga kababayan.

01:04This year's Galing Pook Awards recognized barangays with programs focused on disaster response,

01:10environmental care, fighting malnutrition, clean energy, and community upliftment.

01:15Iba-iba man ang programa is iisa ang hatid ng mensahe.

01:20Kapag tinutugunan natin ang pangangailangan ng tao, nagdudulot ito ng magandang pagbabago.

01:27President Marquez Jr. said the barangay success proves good governance is not only in the hands of the national government.

01:34He urged local leaders to create programs that address urgent needs and drive community progress.

01:40Tuwing inuuna natin ang kapakanan ng taong bayan, sumusunod ang pagunlad ng ating inambayan.

01:48Ito, ang kulturang nais nating ipalaganap sa pamalaan.

01:53Ganito ang servisyo publika na dapat ramdam ng pamayanan, tapat, bukas, at may direksyon.
