00:00Former senator and showbiz celebrity Ramon Bongrivilla Jr. is in deep-in-the-flood-control mess probe,

00:07more than any proponent based on the damning revelations of ex-DPWH Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo's first and supplemental affidavits.

00:17He, along with eight other personalities from the DPWH and government, have been endorsed by the ICI today

00:23for criminal indictments by the Ombudsman, as our Harley Valbuena tells us in this report.

00:30The live streaming of the hearings of two lawmakers before the Independent Commission for Infrastructure, or ICI,

00:38earlier today lasted for only minutes as the commission granted the request for an executive session.

00:45First to face the ICI was Pasig City Representative Roman Romulo,

00:50who is among those tagged by the Diskayas for allegedly receiving kickbacks from flood control projects.

00:56The live streaming was immediately cut short after he requested for an executive session.

01:02His legal counsel insisted that the information to be disclosed by the congressman

01:07might endanger his life and safety, and this could also be misused by the public.

01:13The live stream of these proceedings, Your Honors, could be misused by members of the public

01:21to malign the reputation of the good congressman.

01:25Romulo also laments being included in the Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order, or ELBO, of the Department of Justice.

01:33May be clear what this ILBO is all about, because maybe lawyers understand what an ILBO is,

01:40but if you look through social media, it's really misused, abused.

01:45In a media interview after the closed-door hearing, the lawmaker said he never met the Diskayas.

01:52Bulacan First District Representative Danilo Dani Domingo also appeared before the ICI,

01:58but his camp also asked for an executive session.

02:01Bulacan is at the epicenter of this flood control controversy.

02:06In this regard, Congressman Domingo has already been maligned,

02:10has received significant backlash, despite the fact that there was no credible or any categorical state allegation made against him.

02:22Considering the reasons cited by Congressman Domingo, your request is granted.

03:07Meanwhile, the commission also announced the resignation of former Department of Public Works and Highway Secretary Rogelio Babe Singson

03:15as their commissioner and member due to high stress in the ICI's work.

03:20He mentioned the very intense and stressful ICI work as taking its toll on this aging body.

03:28Well, yeah, for health reasons and also for security because it's not used to this kind of life.

03:35Chairman Reyes said Singson's resignation takes effect December 15 but can be extended up to December 31, 2025.
