00:01Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing three major corruption cases,
00:07known as Cases 1000, 2000 and 4000,
00:12including charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust.
00:17In Case 1000, he is accused of receiving valuable gifts worth over $200,000
00:23from businessmen in exchange for favours.
00:26In Case 2000, he is suspected of striking a deal with the publisher of Yedioth Aronoth
00:33to obtain supportive media coverage.
00:36As for Case 4000, he is accused of granting regulatory benefits to the company Bizek
00:42in exchange for positive coverage for him and his wife.
00:47The penalty for a bribery charge can reach up to 10 years in prison.
00:52Israeli President Isaac Herzog is facing pressure to review the pardon request submitted by Netanyahu.
00:59But unless Netanyahu seeks an agreement that includes an admission of guilt,
01:03it is unlikely that a verdict will be issued against him soon.
