00:25after Israeli media reported that the conditions of the pardon require Netanyahu to resign from the
00:31position of Prime Minister, even if only temporarily. Meanwhile, opposition leader Yair Lapid called on
00:40Netanyahu to retire, saying that any pardon is conditional upon an admission of guilt,
00:45an expression of remorse, and withdrawal from political life. Other Israeli media sources
00:51revealed that Israeli President Isaac Herzog may consider Netanyahu's request for a pardon.
00:57Netanyahu appeared in a video saying that his personal interest requires that the trials
01:02continue to the end, but the national interest dictates otherwise.
