00:30After running off three in a row, the Bulls stepped aside
00:33And the Rockets stepped in
00:36But only temporarily
00:38Then came Kobe and Shaq
00:44With a three-peat of their own
00:46And soon enough, Duncan and the Spurs
00:49Had their own run of excellence
00:51Without question, this generation's team
00:55Has been the Warriors
00:56With their four titles
00:58And a record 73-win regular season
01:01A team for all time
01:03While a single championship
01:05Is not enough to claim the torch
01:07The Thunder are off to a start
01:10That has them on pace
01:11To eclipse that 73-win Warriors season
01:14If we continue to do what we've done
01:16We should have multiple championships
01:19We've got from the MVP
01:21And if in the process
01:23The reigning champs and league MVP
01:25Shea Gilgis-Alexander
01:26Managed to go back-to-back
01:28Perhaps then
01:30The torch will have been passed
01:32Oh, baby!
01:34The Thunder and the Warriors
01:35Next on NBC

02:48Maybe one title isn't enough
02:50They've won 12 straight
02:51They're 20-1
02:52Most of that without Jalen Williams
02:55One of their all-stars
02:56And the defense always there, Jamal
02:57Their defense is always present
02:59They don't just try to lock you up
03:01They take pride in guarding
03:02They do it collectively
03:03They try to shut you down
03:04And that's like another star player for them
03:06They're doing an unbelievable job
03:08And they're 20-1
03:09Rolling through the league
03:10No Steph Curry for Golden State
03:12Tonight out with a quad injury
03:13Told me earlier today
03:14Hopes to be back next week
03:16So a lot of Jimmy Butler
03:18A lot of Draymond Green
03:19Somebody else got to step up as well
03:21Somebody has to step up
03:22And they're going to have to play fast
03:23They're going to have to generate offense
03:24Get up the court as much as possible
03:26Because we know when OKC is guarding you
03:28They're doing it with a level of physicality
03:30And they're compared to spirit

09:17They'll have to shoot the ball better than they did a few days ago against New Orleans first half the other night. They were 2 of 23 beyond the arm. They'll have to shoot better. They'll have to get easier baskets to get transition to play against this tough OKC defense looking to run green thought he got bumped didn't get the call. So here come the thunder SGA second leading scorer in the NBA to Casey Wallace who's been really good. A.J. Mitchell's been great off the bench getting the start tonight.
09:46And maybe the sixth man of the year at this one. No it's early. Start talking about those awards but it's been as good as anybody. It is early but it goes with winning. His team's doing a whole lot of that.
09:56Rookie from Florida when the national championship will Richard with the miss in the long rebound. Another shot clock here to Jenski giving it back to Moody. Steps back. Got homegrown in the air. Lost it. Two on the shot clock. Got to go. Richard. Not going to get that shot off. It goes back to the Thunder.
10:16And that's that Thunder defense. It's always engaged. Always playing each possession. They don't try to just stop you. They want to break your spirit when they're on defense. Talk to Steve Kerr before the game. What's the what's the biggest key to the game? Turnovers. I mean it's been that way throughout the season. Four goals in state. They're 10 and one when they turn the ball over less than their opposition but especially against Oklahoma City.
10:39And they're 1 and 9 when they when they lose the turnover game. They know that's the point of emphasis for them. They want to generate good shots but not turn the ball over while they're doing it. Both teams one of four here in the early going from the floor. They swing at Brandon Pajenski the long three. Second one in the game for the Warriors. That's how the Warriors want to play. Go around the horn. Touch the paint. Give up good shots to get great shots. Average in about 12 a game. They'd love to get him going beyond the arc. And this guy's always going. Shea.
11:09Gilgis. Alexander with the jumper. Always going. Always at his own pace. Another long three. Pajenski feeling it in the early going. He's shooting that like you TG. You know when you make one you feel like you're hot. That's him. Yeah. You had that. You were in the zone a few times in your career. Home grand as Pajenski stepped in. Tried to draw the foul. But it's going to go against him.
11:34Watch SGA doing his dance. Very patient. Gets to his patented. Step back.
11:39Out of the left hand.
11:42We've seen that before. And then right there. Good pass. Pajenski there. Just a little too late. Was in the right spot at the wrong time.
11:50Chet Holmgren looking for a three-point play opportunity.
11:52And Holmgren averaging 18 a game and eight rebounds a game. So on pace.
11:58For his best scoring season and field goal percentage.
12:02Shooting a great. 56 percent from the floor.
12:04Back to a point you just made. SGA.
12:08That's one of the most impressive things I think about him.
12:11He's got such patience out there.
12:13And then scores in a hurry.
12:14Most of the great scorers have figured out pace.
12:17Rhythm. How they're going to get their shots.
12:19So it never seems like they're in a rush.
12:21Good pass. Good cut right there.
12:22Good about Pajenski.
12:23Third year man out of Santa Clara.
12:26Aggressive early in this one. And we're tied up at eight.
12:31You get the switch. SGA.
12:34To the corner and they swing it.
12:36Holmgren. Pump fake back out.
12:38Mitchell.
12:39Spots up for the easy three that time.
12:41And that's what you never want to do is help a strong side corner.
12:44Let the weak side man be the helper.
12:47You don't want to give up an open three.
12:49As Wallace gets a steal.
12:50Yep. And that's what he does.
12:51Better than anybody in the league.
12:54Quick timeout taken.
12:55So the turnover.
12:57Wallace on the run out.
12:58And the lead up by five on the road.
13:02We talk about being a good help team defender.
13:05Right here.
13:05Draymond Green over helps from the strong side corner.
13:09And left a wide open Mitchell to knock down the three.
13:11That could have been Pajenski's help.
13:13And he was already in position.
13:14Because that's what they had practiced.
13:16That's what they went over.
13:17For Draymond trying to be a great teammate.
13:20He helped.
13:20But he may have over helped right there.
13:22And Mitchell made him pay.
13:23We talk about Steph Curry not being on the floor.
13:26And the production that is not there.
13:28The points.
13:29The three-pointers.
13:30The key shots down the stretch.
13:32But it's also leadership and communication throughout the game.
13:35Isn't it?
13:35It's ever-present.
13:37And you always want your leaders to lead.
13:39But they have to lead with their own style.
13:42Their own way.
13:42But still connect with their teammates.
13:43J-Dub looking for help.
13:46Wallace up top of the foul first.
13:49Andrejmond on the reach.
13:52First Andrejmond.
13:53Second team foul on the Warriors.
13:55Number 23.
13:56Three.
13:58First person.
13:58Andrejmond was trying to get Wallace off the shot.
14:00Lost his foot in a little bit.
14:01All five of the Thunder starters have scored already in this game.
14:10Tipped out Jimmy Butler.
14:13Run down by Holmgren.
14:17Quick change of pace right to the hoop.
14:20Jalen Williams.
14:20How about that?
14:21That was nice.
14:22It's good to see he has his burst there.
14:23But that was a low pickup dribble which enabled him to get downhill a little bit faster.
14:287-0 run by OKC.
14:33Starter still on the floor.
14:34Pajemski.
14:35Holmgren.
14:36Got him up in the air.
14:37Through the foul.
14:38The pucket.
14:39He'll go to the free throw line.
14:41Good patience right there by Pajemski.
14:43Being an aggressive scorer.
14:47Playing off of two feet.
14:48Watch right here.
14:49The two-foot pivot.
14:52One dribble up fake.
14:53Eyes tell lies.
14:54Got him home through an opposition.
14:56Pajemski already with seven in the game.
14:59Steve Kerr said, you know, he just needs to be himself.
15:02Relax.
15:02Not try to do too much.
15:04And just let it fly.
15:05We want him to shoot the basketball often.
15:07And when you know you're going to play a certain number of minutes or certain guys out,
15:11you're going to have more of those opportunities.
15:12So Pajemski can slow down a little bit and still take those shots with confidence.
15:16Knowing he'll get them throughout the game.
15:18And maybe just naturally, without Steph being on the floor, that comes tonight.
15:24It settles you.
15:25And obviously you want your best players out there.
15:27But if you're a scorer and you know you have to play through other guys, Steph being one,
15:31you're like, you know what, I have to have my game sharp tonight.
15:33My team's going to need it.
15:34Well, you always know Stephen Curry is the first option.
15:37Oh, no doubt about it.
15:38If you don't, you shouldn't be here.
15:39Well, it's in and out.
15:41Yeah.
15:42It's pretty obvious, isn't it?
15:44Greatest shooter every, I think, will give him the basketball.
15:47Step back around the screen, looking to go again.
15:54Moody.
15:55Boy, look at the pressure out front.
15:58Pajemski only just opened up on the floater inside.
16:01You see the patience we talked about.
16:03He may have shot in that first part of the possession if it's a normal situation.
16:07It's not.
16:08He gets to be a primary focus of the scoring.
16:10He can be patient.
16:11Warriors back to the zone this time.
16:13Corner and Wallace.
16:15When baseline leaves it inside.
16:17The follow by home grip.
16:19Emphatically.
16:19J-Dub did the right thing.
16:21Cutting to break down the defense.
16:23Emphatic slam by home grip.
16:25Pajemski, that first step, may have had it, could have taken it all the way.
16:31He's looking for somebody to pass it to.
16:33Out of bounds, back to the Thunder.
16:35Check in on tonight's DraftKings, king of the court.
16:38So, SGA and Jimmy Butler will keep track of that all night.
16:42DraftKings, the number one sports book for live betting.

16:47Use promo code DUNK when you sign up.
16:51Third turnover by the Warriors.
16:53Buddy Heald in off the bench.
16:55Don Fink-Kaminga, who was out with an injury,
16:57but back in the last couple of games for Golden State.
17:02Home grip.
17:04Nearly.
17:08I mean, you're trying to give him a spark off the bench as he did the other night.
17:12Green with the miss.
17:14J-Dub on the run.
17:18Oh, nice find.
17:19And Mitchell, hard cut.
17:21Couldn't get it to go.
17:23This is where you strike early against OKC.
17:26You have to get transitioned and try to find a matchup that you like.
17:29When they set their defense, they're tough.
17:31You don't want to face the half-court defense all night.
17:35Buddy Heald.
17:36They'd love to see him get it going.
17:37About 26% in the last five games from three.
17:41But you know he can do that.
17:43And scorers don't know.
17:44When you're shooting it, you're not worried about the misses.
17:46You're just worried about making your next attempt.
17:49Holmgren left wide open.
17:50Green never came out to challenge him.
17:53And that's the gravity that Holmgren has.
17:56He pulls you away from the basket,
17:58or he'll knock down jumpers all night.
17:59Check shooting 35% beyond the arc.
18:02He's got eight in the game.
18:03Another turnover.
18:05Here comes the Thunder.
18:06Williams hit hard by Green.
18:14That's the second on Draymond.
18:16Right there.
18:18Active with their hands.
18:19That's what the Thunder do.
18:20They want to speed you up.
18:21Be aggressive.
18:21Draymond with the hard foul.
18:25It's like we were back in the 90s, Terry.
18:27It looked like it.
18:28It looked like a 90s foul, for sure.
18:30What do you think?
18:30Wear and tear back then or now?
18:31More, though.
18:33I would say back then.
18:34Yeah?
18:34The pace is a lot faster now, obviously.
18:37But flying.
18:38I've had this argument with different analysts.
18:42And we're not going to argue about it.
18:43We're just going to talk about it.
18:44So five out of seven games and days.
18:47Obviously, that's a wear and tear.
18:49I'm fine arguing, but that's okay.
18:51He's just want to talk.
18:54So Williams got the first as Draymond takes a C.
18:56He's got two.
18:58Four team fouls on the Warriors.
18:59So Thunder shooting the rest of the way.
19:02But even with a foul like that, Williams doesn't react.
19:07He gets up.
19:08He goes and shoots his free throws.
19:10And act like nothing happens.
19:11You can tell the championship pedigree and run this young OKC team has.
19:15Witten post in.
19:16So a little more height off the bench for Golden State.
19:19Gary Payton, the second also in, who was really big, came off the bench.
19:23They needed him to a couple of nights ago in that win.
19:25Down the stretch had two really big threes in the fourth quarter.
19:28In a different way.
19:29He's like Iguodala used to be for them.
19:30He does all the little things very well.
19:32And he can plug and play him anywhere.
19:34He's a defensive guy first.
19:35Obviously with his dad being who he is.
19:37It's really cool to see him out here.
19:38I know when he was five years old.
19:40To see him be a pro now is really cool.
19:42Yeah, his dad was pretty good.
19:44Officer operates along the baseline.
19:47This is the layup this time.
19:51William Chouette.
19:52He played 32 minutes the other night.
19:54So there's no problem with his conditioning coming back.
19:56It's that shooting hand though, that wrist.
19:59That's going to be a tough adjustment.
20:06I want to see Kaminga be more aggressive in these situations.
20:09Especially with no Cody out there.
20:11They're going to need to generate some points.
20:12J. Will, Jalen Williams in with Isaiah Joe as well.
20:18Jalen Williams missed.
20:20May have had it taken away up top.
20:22Here comes Kaminga.
20:22How much does the offense change without Steph?
20:31What you're trying to do?
20:33Well, when you have Steph, everything's based off of movement.
20:36He's an offense within himself.
20:37So now guys have to create for themselves attempts like that.
20:41That's why getting a transition is so important.
20:44It takes pressure off your half-court offense as well.
20:46Heal, the matchup with SGA just creates that space.
20:53There was none and then there was.
20:56SGA can get space in the phone booth.
20:58He can always create something.
20:59Always a threat.
21:08A little bit out of sorts offensively on the last couple of possessions.
21:11And now another turnover.
21:13That's five in the game already.
21:15Isaiah Joe can't run it down and goes back to Golden State.
21:18But that's the difference.
21:19When Steph is there, the ball is more moving off the pass.
21:22Right now it's off the dribble.
21:24First OKC turnover right there.
21:26So they play without turning it over and they try to turn you over as much as possible.
21:30Pat Spencer now in for Golden State.
21:34Ashley, what do you have?
21:35Guys, I talked to Draymond at Shootaround this morning.
21:38I thought this was interesting.
21:39He said, without Steph in the game, it takes a hit on our confidence as well
21:42because you're taking a guy out who can literally fix anything.
21:45But more so, he said, Steph, such a special player, a whole system is built around him.
21:49So when he's not there, there's not one person you can plug and play that can fit in that role.
21:54Yeah, you can take chances as well down the stretch and know that he's going to be there.
21:57Peyton with the miss.
21:58Did draw iron.
22:00You want to see more cutting from Golden State, more getting downhill, two-on-one opportunities.
22:05Shots like that right there.
22:07Spencer's a great story.
22:09Great with a cross player in college.
22:10One year at Northwestern.
22:12And then here he is in the NBA knocking down jump shots as Draymond gets a rest.
22:20Check out the progressive game flow.
22:22What a start to the season for the Warriors or the Thunder.
22:25How about the Knicks back in the day?
22:27They won it.
22:28Hakeem and the Rockets also 20-1 or better.
22:31This team, so they're the fourth to do it.
22:34The Warriors back in 2015-2016.
22:38They did not win the title that year.
22:40Unbelievable because when you start like that, just look at the history.
22:45In the 70s, 69-70s season, the Knicks won it.
22:4893-94, the Rockets won it.
22:49The Thunder remains to be seen.
22:52In this new modern era, the Warriors start out 21-0.
22:55But didn't win the championship.
22:56Is it too early to start talking about 73 wins?
23:00It's not because they're so locked in as the Warriors come back out in the zone,
23:04try to disrupt whatever play that comes Dagnol drew up.
23:08That is the number the Warriors put up their 73 wins back in that 2015-16 season.
23:14Randy Carlson from the deep corner just in off the bench.
23:18First game in his last four.
23:20Hadn't played the last three.
23:23Aaron Wiggins also on the floor for the Thunder now.
23:27Spencer and the foul down along the baseline.
23:31Could you imagine these OKC Thunder practices?
23:33The way they play defensive with both groups, I bet they're wars because everybody plays the same.
23:40Whoever comes in plays with that same physicality, that same aggressiveness.
23:44And that's one of the things that makes them special.
23:48Ashley, what do you have?
23:49And guys, with this start for OKC, we were talking to head coach Mark Dagnol and he said,
23:53look, it's not about me giving them a motivational speech every night or anything like that.
23:57He said, we remind the guys that whoever plays better that night is going to win.
24:01It's not about the night before, not about the records.
24:03He said, we're really lucky.
24:04We have a group of incredibly competitive guys where they just know every game is a new one.
24:09If you want to win, you have to earn it.
24:10And it never seems like a grind to them when you spend time around them as a team.
24:14Not at all.
24:14They always play with that youthful energy, but they don't make youthful mistakes.
24:18They play like a wise team.
24:20And that's why it's so rare to have a young coach and a young team be this successful this early.
24:25Mark said, I learn from them all the time.
24:28It's a great partnership.
24:30And imagine Sam Treske throwing me there and it's something really special.
24:33What he's done in the front office is unbelievable.
24:36And with second round draft picks.
24:38Yes.
24:38Him and his scout team.
24:39Got to give a shout out to my guy, Brandon Miller, as well.
24:42Two on the shot clock.
24:43Spencer had a go.
24:44Post tipped it out.
24:45Goes back to the Thunder.
24:49So Golden State shooting just 36% here in the opening quarter.
24:57As we are under two minutes to go to the break.
25:01SGA operating inside.
25:03Stops on a dime off the glass and in.
25:05Terry, it looked like the bank shot you used back at NC State.
25:08Because when he's getting downhill, he is unstoppable.
25:11And he has every shot in the book in his repertoire.
25:13You know, you've referred to that twice.
25:15He must be watching the black and white film from back in the day.
25:18They came up there.
25:19They took it.
25:20So now I see it in color.
25:21Don't worry about it.
25:21Nice.
25:23Spencer to the corner.
25:26Cross court.
25:27Heal.
25:27Got it.
25:27Buddy Heal.
25:27That's a welcome sign for these Warrior fans.
25:32Yes.
25:32To hit two three-pointers in the first quarter.
25:34The ball is going side to side.
25:36But Shay is doing his dance and he's being more aggressive.
25:42Kaminga, a strong rebound.
25:45Jonathan, the span and the blocking foul on the wing.
25:48Isaiah Joe second.
25:50Oklahoma City foul number 11.
25:51Isaiah Joe second personal.
25:53Right here, Kaminga trying to beat Joe to the spot.
25:58Joe not set.
26:00Gets the blocking foul.
26:02And then watch SGA.
26:03When he gets in the paint, he slows down.
26:05When he slows down, he can see everything very clear.
26:07Haven't seen a guard use a bank shot straight on like that in a while.
26:10He creates space and uses his body.
26:14Uses the bump, as you call it, as well as anybody in the league, doesn't he?
26:18He does.
26:18And I've never seen anybody use the bump.
26:20And you would say, okay, he's not the strongest guy.
26:22But the force he plays with, how quick he is, he used that leverage to work for him.
26:27Clayton Post set up by the assist from Spencer.
26:30And it's a common thing with the Warriors scoring.
26:33They're going side to side, see if they can get any slippage, any breakdown,
26:36and create good, clean looks.
26:39Under a minute.
26:40Shea Gilgis-Alexander high off the glass.
26:45We'll go to the line.
26:46Chance for three.
26:47And you see his aggressiveness starting to pick up.
26:51Whenever he gets downhill, he can go left.
26:53He can go right.
26:54Right here, going left.
26:56Off two feet, finishing with the left.
27:00And an end one.
27:00That's just nasty.
27:01Shea, look.
27:02I know the shoes are nasty, kids.
27:04Don't watch the shoes.
27:05Watch the bump and watch how he used that glass.
27:07Balls on post is first.
27:11They are the numbers.
27:12Impressive.
27:13Second leading scorer in the NBA.
27:16For the rebounds, the assists, but also just the shooting numbers are up.
27:20He's 41% from three-point range this year.
27:23And it's like no way to defend him.
27:26Shea is truly unlocking the game where he can score at any time, any way.
27:31He feels like he can do whatever he wants out there.
27:33And he's been in the game to the Thunder's will.
27:36Got eight in this one so far.
27:37You think the Thunder are changing the game the way they play?
27:41I think they're, I'm not sure they're changing the game, but they're adding to the game.
27:47He has, oh, he got bailed out.
27:48Wiggins fouled him.
27:53Go to the line for three.
27:57Right there.
27:59Wiggins in a closeout situation.
28:01He'll mess with his timing right there with the baby of fake.
28:04He wasn't a strong fake.
28:05It was a small one.
28:07Wiggins hit that right elbow.
28:08So, buddy, to the line for three.
28:12Got the first one.
28:16As Butler came back in.
28:19And he'll, you love to see once a score hits his first shot, hits another shot, gets to the free throw line.
28:24There he is.
28:26From the networks that brought you The Office of Parks and Rec,
28:29comes an all-new episode of TV's Feel Better Comedy,
28:32St. Dennis Medical comes your way Monday on NBC and Peacock.
28:38Somebody will try to cut this lead down to four.
28:47Yep.
28:48Watch the two-for-one opportunity right here for OKC.
28:51They're going to try to score quick, preferably by a 30-second mark.
28:54Mitchell, the spin, trying to be aggressive.
28:56Good defense that time by Hill.
28:58Out to the corner.
29:01Spencer.
29:03Tough assignment here.
29:05SGA.
29:06The reach.
29:06He'll go back to the free throw line.
29:08I mean, I mean, what do you do?
29:13Well, if you look at the defense, the boxes and the elbows were covered, so he had no space.
29:19So what he did was make space, make the way.
29:21Watch that.
29:22There's somebody in the nil.
29:23There's somebody in the box.
29:24He still goes right through Spencer's body and then initiates the contact, putting his arms out.
29:29He still goes right through Spencer's body and then initiates the contact, putting his arms out.
29:36Steve Curry, who's had great teams, obviously.
29:41Seth Curry, there is a Curry in uniform tonight.
29:44It is younger brother Seth activated today.
29:49He was with them early in the season, but because of the hard cap in the second apron, they had to wait to actually sign him.
29:56But he and Steph playing together on the same team for the very first time.
30:00That has to be so cool for the Curry family.
30:03And the fact that Seth got chefs welcome when he got in the game, that has to make him feel good as well.
30:09That was a great ovation.
30:15Deep corner three.
30:16Moody, no.
30:16Long rebound.
30:17Going to get another try.
30:18Give it up to the corner in and out to end it.
30:23That's the end of the first quarter.
30:26So the Thunder with the lead, but it's a six-point game.
30:29You're watching Coast to Coast Tuesday presented by Kia.
30:42Back to tell you, you can try the new Peacock performance view and experience real-time player stats.
30:48Live shot data that updates with every basket available now, only on Peacock.
30:54Analytics, Jamal.
30:55Analytics.
30:55They're part of the game now.
31:02Yeah, especially in the regular season.
31:04See the difference in bench points right there, but also frontcourt scoring.
31:08OKC, 16 to nothing in terms of starting frontcourt players.
31:14Players, and that's been a theme for Golden State.
31:17The paint struggles throughout the year.
31:21Henry Williams here on the floor to open up the second quarter.
31:27Missed first 18 games with knee surgery.
31:30Going to let a three go and miss.
31:32And it's nice to have J-Dub back because this is where SGA can get his break.
31:39And the offense continues to hump.
31:44Saved along the baseline.
31:46Wiggins.
31:47On the run.
31:49Presses the issue.
31:50Got it.
31:52Didn't get the call.
31:53Got the bucket.
31:53He got the bucket, and he hit the turbo burst coming downhill, creating something in a one-on-one situation.
32:00Jimmy Butler trying to do the same, does get the call.
32:03He'll go to the line for three.
32:05And that's what you want to see if you're the Golden State Warriors.
32:07You want to see Jimmy in attack mode, especially in those mid-transition situations.
32:151,000 and 34, Kenridge-Williams.
32:18So Kenridge-Williams just came on, picked up his first, sending Butler to the line.
32:2386% on the air from the free-throw line.
32:27One thing I know about Jimmy, he's always going to put the onus on the officials.
32:30He's going to keep attacking, keep attacking, and he knows how to bring himself in the game,
32:35even if he starts slow scoring.
32:37He's going to get to the free-throw line.
32:38He's going to get there, and he's going to score.
32:42Go around the screen out top.
32:44A little hesitation when he's back to home grade.
32:48Rims it in and out.
32:49Butler the rebound.
32:50No chance to run this time.
32:56That matchup out front.
32:58J-Dub on Butler.
32:59The spin in the paint, looking for help.
33:03And credit OKC's defense, the way they got back.
33:06But here goes Jimmy Buckets.
33:09Got an L1.
33:10Hits a three-pointer right after to let you know he's in the building.
33:14Line drive three for Butler.
33:16Back we go the other end.
33:18Kendrick Williams.
33:19Deep corner three.
33:20Over set Curry.
33:22It's like OKC always has the answer to the test.
33:25Whatever you throw at them, they're always ready to respond.
33:28Talk to them.
33:28That's another guy coming back, though, offering leadership.
33:31He's a competitor.
33:32The fire on the court.
33:39Butler lost it, got it back.
33:41Goes right up with it.
33:42Well, that was a proper shot right there.
33:45That's what you hit, too.
33:46It's time to raise up.
33:47Yeah, but here's it going in.
33:51Wiggins steps back.
33:53Nope.
33:56Post, had it knocked out, stays with the Warriors.
34:00Warriors are in.
34:02OKC picking up full court right now.
34:05Williams telling Mitchell, come here, make somebody else bring the ball up court to disrupt the Warriors offense.
34:10But one of the ways you see the game changing to more and more teams doing more of that.
34:16Yes.
34:17In the pros, it was kind of taboo to pick up full court like that.
34:21These teams now are doing it, trying to set the tone early.
34:25Hondrin on the run.
34:26Pajewski stepped in, got a late whistle.
34:28Offensive foul on home grip.
34:34Got to give Pajewski credit.
34:35He's always in the right spot.
34:38Not scared to sacrifice his body.
34:40I definitely wouldn't have took a charge like that.
34:42I got to give him props for that.
34:45Took the shot.
34:46His team's rewarded for it.
34:48He's taken about 60 charges the last couple of seasons.
34:51It's part of his game.
34:53There's the pressure three-quarter court this time.
34:57Mitchell on Pajewski.
34:59Just wears you down over the course of 48 minutes, I would think.
35:04But what's really cool is I'm seeing some of the Warriors' actions.
35:08They're running some of the same sets for Seth Curry as they run for Seth Curry.
35:13Away from the ball movement, offensive foul right there.
35:16Quinton Poe is picking up his second.
35:20Steve Kerr is going to play a lot of guys tonight.
35:23Thinks he needs to against this team.
35:25He has to.
35:26This team will wear you down right now.
35:29SGA, their best players getting the rest.
35:31And they're comfortable because they can play so many different styles
35:35and so many different versatile alignments if you're the OKC Thunder.
35:41Mitchell.
35:42Quick first step.
35:44Floats.
35:45Fides it.
35:46Timeout, Steve Kerr.
35:48Timeout.
35:48Warrior.
35:50So the quick drive by Mitchell making it a seven-point thunder.
35:54Before the live finale, the coaches and America's vote decide who'll be the final six.
35:59The Voice, new Monday on NBC and Peacock.
36:04So I told you Lou Dortz out of the lineup tonight.
36:07Isaiah Hartenstein is still out with a calf straight.
36:10And also Alex Caruso out for the second straight game with flawed soreness.
36:16So shorthanded but still, still.
36:20You're missing Hartenstein, Dortz, and the Caruso.
36:24And you still look this good.
36:27Like, this team is something special.
36:30And right now, out to a seven-point lead without the second-leading scorer in the NBA on the floor for a stretch.
36:37Five on the shot clock.
36:39Pajemski realizes.
36:41Got to go.
36:43Curry got his first one here.
36:46Have they seen that in this building before, or Curry hit the step-back jumper?
36:52The great thing about Seth Curry and Steph, he's got a better percentage from three-point range.
36:58Yeah, he does.
36:58The best Curry shooter in the family.
37:0043% for his career.
37:03945 career threes.
37:04How often does he remind his brother of that?
37:07I'm sure.
37:09Wiggins lets it go.
37:10That's his first.
37:11Aaron Wiggins.
37:12Very few wins against a guy like Steph.
37:14You might as well take it with that one.
37:15I got it better.
37:16I'm a better percentage.
37:17You know that, right, Big Brother?
37:18No doubt.
37:19Now that's unique.
37:24They have Peyton in the post against Holmgren as the dribble handoff was blown up, but you just don't see those type of reads.
37:36Seventh turnover committed by Golden State.
37:39Pajemski to the bench.
37:41Spencer back in.
37:42They run that action, setting up that screen off of that post up with Steph Curry.
37:51That's why I asked you the question earlier tonight.
37:53How much can you change because you don't have Steph coming off the screen?
37:57It changes everything.
37:59We know that Steph, his gravity that he opens up for his teammates as J-Dub gets the floater to go.
38:06It's just a different game.
38:07It's a different style they have to play.
38:09Largest lead of the night.
38:11Double figures for the Thunder.
38:12Dangerous time right now.
38:14Curry, this is beyond the arc.
38:15He's got that one as well.
38:17Listen to this place.
38:18They love it.
38:19And what about the presence of mind of Gary Payton to pass up a good shot to get a better shooter, a better shot?
38:26Oh, J-Dub all the way in.
38:29You sure he missed time because he looked like he is in full rhythm?
38:32No kidding.
38:33Double figures already for an all-star last year and a budding superstar.
38:38Missed all that time with an injury.
38:40Doesn't look like it.
38:41Hey, look for help.
38:44Butler lost his shoe.
38:46They got numbers now.
38:49Mitchell inside.
38:51Loops it for Williams.
38:53The lay-in and another timeout taken.
38:55Twenty-four to ten run by OKC Thunder.
38:59And they are rolling right now in the Chase Center.
39:02It's time to experience the majesty of the Winter Olympics for Northern Italy.
39:11Milan Cortina beginning Friday, February 6th on NBC and Peacock.
39:17Can not wait.
39:18How about the numbers right now?
39:19The ten points off turnovers, fast break points, Warriors going to try to run some tonight.
39:27Hadn't worked out and then the points in the paint.
39:29Thunder just dominant.
39:30Dominant.
39:31Dominant.
39:31Dominant.
39:32Dominant.
39:32They're winning most facets of the game right now and they're making it really, really tough
39:39for Golden State to generate anything.
39:40Yeah.
39:40Draymond, who was 0 for 9 in his last game and 0 for 7 from three-point range in that win the
39:48other day.
39:49I've been in the gym with Draymond before and I've seen him shoot in the gym and he knocks
39:54them down at a consistent rate.
39:56I think there's a little bit of overthinking when it comes to game time.
40:00Watching him pregame, he was knocking down shots at a high rate as well.
40:03Yeah, you can see that coming here, offensive foul setting the screen out front.
40:06Offensive foul, Draymond Green, his third personal foul.
40:11So that is three on Draymond Green.
40:14And now you have to make the decision, do we let him play this next stint in hopes that
40:19he doesn't get a fourth or do we ride it out?
40:24Mitchell on the run, kick, Wiggins that big step inside to clear the way.
40:30That was tough.
40:30Long step over defender.
40:35The other aspect for Draymond, too, you just naturally take on more responsibility and feel
40:39it without Steph Curry on the floor.
40:44Just try to get through this stretch.
40:46And as Steph told us earlier today, he hopes to be back next week.
40:49He's feeling pretty good.
40:51Kaminga turned.
40:52Let it go.
40:53Got it.
40:54They're going to need a more aggressive Jonathan Kaminga.
40:57But even that play right there, it took 14 seconds for the ball to be reversed.
41:02That's a staple of Golden State is going side to side.
41:04It's going to be a little disjointed with no Steph Curry.
41:07Thunder shooting 58%, and that's going up off the move from Jalen Williams.
41:11Well, he's in full rhythm, was able to condition even with the hand injury, and he's showing
41:19now that he is almost a miss.
41:21He's the shooting hand as well.
41:25So that's the challenge in trying to get ready for game time action.
41:29Watch that long step.
41:30George Garvin, Iceman.
41:32It was.
41:33It did revive me in the Iceman.
41:35Finger roll.
41:36Finger roll.
41:38Stepped up.
41:39Long step.
41:40Yes, he can.
41:40Got it to go.
41:44Shea back on the floor for the Thunder.
41:48J-Will as well.
41:49Jalen Williams.
41:51Green with those three fouls.
41:53Spencer had it blocked.
41:55Kaminga.
41:55One on the shot clock.
41:57Draymond.
41:57Nope.
41:58Off the heel.
41:59Tipped up.
42:00Kept alive.
42:01Isaiah Joel had it.
42:02Lost it.
42:03Got it back.
42:05They get the timeout.
42:06They did.
42:08So the Thunder gets the timeout.
42:11Mark Tegnoll going to talk things over, but it's a 13-point lead here in the second quarter.
42:17Back with a look at the upcoming NBA schedule.
42:20NBA TV tomorrow night.
42:22Miami and Dallas.
42:23And then Golden State.
42:25These Warriors go on the road for a road trip after this one.
42:28Take on the 76ers.
42:29Prime video on Friday.
42:31Lakers.
42:31Boston and Dallas.
42:33And the Thunder.
42:35Go to NBA.com or visit the NBA app for more on these games.
42:45So the Thunder is taking control of this one.
42:49Defensively creating turnovers.
42:50Points in the paint.
42:51Establishing that.
42:53Shooting 75% here in the second quarter so far.
42:58Shot clock down under five.
42:59Wiggins.
43:01Over Richard.
43:02New challenge.
43:03Good defense that time by the rookie.
43:04But they get the offensive rebound.
43:06SGA going to work.
43:10Spencer that step back quickly.
43:17Kamega on the run.
43:20Gathers.
43:21Nope.
43:21It was the right thought to get to the basket in transition.
43:27But Kamega has to go in there off two feet.
43:29And that way he can play to his strengths versus getting smaller by going off one foot.
43:34But he'll just face guarding SGA.
43:36There's the block by Kamega.
43:38And he stepped out of bounds as he caught it.
43:43Watch Kamega.
43:44That's part of his growth.
43:45Didn't go good for him on offense.
43:47Gets it back on defense.
43:48Good block.
43:50And gets his team another possession.
43:5250-year man.
43:53The big question when they got Jimmy Butler last year was Steph and the pieces that he had.
43:58Steve Kerr said how does he fit in?
43:59That was the problem down the stretch last year.
44:02Got off to a great start early this season.
44:05Then had the injury.
44:06So he's worked his way back from that.
44:08Well this is where you really need him to be.
44:11What he's more comfortable being is being more aggressive.
44:14But he has to be able to make plays.
44:17Wiggins after the 10th turnover forced by the Thunder.
44:23Right now the Warriors are playing too slow to go against his top-notch, top-level defense.
44:32Draymond off to Buddy Hill.
44:35Nope.
44:37One and done for Golden State.
44:42Step back left coming.
44:44Yep, there it is.
44:45Good call, my friend.
44:47Off the heel this time.
44:49I wasn't a defender, Terry, but I was able to pick up tendencies and rhythms.
44:52I'm just saying.
44:53I could tell you could feel it that time.
44:58Heal.
44:59Got it right back.
45:00Ricocheted right to his hands, but he missed the layup.
45:06Warriors have missed their last five from the floor.
45:10Change of direction.
45:11SGA as Spencer came to challenge.
45:13Pretty good defense that time on the help.
45:16Little Richard on the run.
45:17And somehow gets it to go.
45:22Maybe the most difficult shot in that stint.
45:25Right leg, windmill, tight layup.
45:28Richard's got to go down.
45:29Got that championship pedigree, Steve Kerr says, from Florida, winning that national championship last year.
45:36First fast break points up on the board for Golden State.
45:42Jay will go to the free throw line after the foul.
45:52Spencer picks up his second.
45:54And watch the pass right there by SGA.
45:55That's why he's so hard to guard scoring-wise, because he'll make the right play when you cheat over too much and gets Williams some free throws.
46:06Think of the efficiency to the scoring.
46:08We talked about him averaging 32-plus points per game.
46:12Oftentimes, he's sitting most of the fourth quarter.
46:15He is, and he's getting it done, and he understands the bigger picture.
46:19Imagine all those minutes he's not playing, how fresh he'll be to close the season and going to the playoffs.
46:31Now, if you want to look at a negative, I'm not necessarily saying I do, but Thunder have had the easiest schedule.
46:39Talking strength is scheduled so far.
46:41From this point on, they'll have the most difficult schedule.
46:45They will, but you know what?
46:46They're prepared for it as Wallace gets the block.
46:50They're prepared for whatever you can throw at them with what they would do last year in the beginning part of this year.
46:56Richard passed it up.
46:58Butler swings it.
46:59Green.
47:00Will Richard fade away from Green?
47:03That possession right there is indicative of what the Warriors have to do the rest of the night.
47:06They have to play with energy.
47:08They have to play faster.
47:09They have to go side to side.
47:10When he took a chance defensively, SGA makes him pay.
47:14He'll go to the free throw line after the foul.
47:17As Gary Payton, the glove, the one and only, Hall of Famer behind us.
47:22SGA is doing his magic on the court.
47:24Legend.
47:25Getting downhill.
47:26Watch how he winds it up right there.
47:29The first one, I don't believe, was a foul, but the second one when he gathered the ball again.
47:34I know you were late getting to the replay, but you got a good excuse.
47:37I got to talk to the glove.
47:38Gary Payton comes by, no doubt about it.
47:40So, the miss on the first for Shea.
47:48Double figures with 10.
47:51What's interesting about Shea is anybody that usually averages that many points, it feels like they're in a rush to score.
47:57It feels like they're in a rush to get baskets.
48:00He's so at peace with his game.
48:01He can be patient with what he's doing.
48:03Sometimes you do look up and you go, wait, wait, he's got 20 tonight?
48:06Yeah.
48:08He's figured it out.
48:09Warriors work it.
48:14That is a deep three for Buddy Hill.
48:17Over the back.
48:18Touch the top.
48:19Ball goes to Oklahoma.
48:21If you're Golden State right now, you want to go into halftime under 10 points.
48:25Under double figures, that gives you life.
48:27If you're OKC, you want to try to get this thing to 16 or 17 points to give you even more of a cushion.
48:32So often, that last minute before the break, so critical that way.
48:40Williams back out.
48:43Shea to the hoop.
48:44Never challenged.
48:45Green's got the three fouls he couldn't step up.
48:49And Shea got there in two dribbles.
48:51Pajenski, who was aggressive early, offensively.
49:02Not lately.
49:03Heal.
49:04In and out.
49:04And those are clean looks for Hill.
49:06He just missed him.
49:07But this guy right here, there he is.
49:10Step back, going left.
49:12It's a pretty thing, isn't it?
49:14It's a work of art.
49:15It is.
49:16But he slows down just enough as he gets his 16th point.
49:19Coming downhill, he makes you relax.
49:21And then he knows he's going to step back and get his space for a step back.
49:26Not much of a different shot clock game clock.
49:28Largest lead of the game for OKC.
49:34Backdoor Butler had it taken away.
49:36Still have time.
49:37Got plenty of time.
49:39Shea pulls up.
49:40Little mid-range whistle and a foul with the bucket.
49:44My gosh, what a way to end this half.
49:48When you come down to transition, it can stop on a dime.
49:52And give nine cents change.
49:54Get to your spot, SGA.
49:57And watch the patience.
49:59He goes.
49:59No rush.
50:00Walk right there.
50:01Step back.
50:02Let me get the space I need.
50:03And then I want TG to take a picture.
50:06Oh, I was doing it.
50:08Two dribbles explode up.
50:10He's scoring every which way.
50:12And when you average 30-plus points, you can get it done in all facets.
50:15I mean, the facets of the game just in the last few possessions.
50:19Is that sticks up there?
50:22Extreme much left.
50:23A wedgie.
50:26It was.
50:30But what's the reaction?
50:34I cannot believe it.
50:35That's the only thing he did wrong today, it feels like.
50:38He's just, everything is just so calm, so unflappable.
50:43Didn't you just say about a minute ago, the goal is to get at the single digits?
50:49Or go up to 17 or 19.
50:52I mean, just like that, it's 63-44.
50:56They can strike and they strike fast.
51:01Oklahoma City ending this first half on a 9-0 run.
51:06And Golden State talks about turnovers being critical.
51:09They've turned it over 11 times already in this game.
51:12And it's cost them.
51:14It's awesome.
51:15And they're doing it with defense.
51:16They're doing it every single time.
51:18And they're consistent.
51:21All right, we get our walk-off interview brought to you by Metro, by T-Mobile.
51:26Ashley?
51:27All right, Chet, you guys have taken your largest lead of the game to end this first half.
51:31How have you guys taken control the first two quarters?
51:34Just stacking possessions, doing what we need to do each time down,
51:36and executing the game plan, what the coaches gave us before the game.
51:40And, you know, if we keep doing that for another half, it'll leave us in a good spot.
51:44Already 10 Warriors turnovers in these first two quarters.
51:47What are you guys doing defensively to cause that chaos?
51:50Just making everything tough, keying in on what guys want to do, what they want to do as a team.
51:54And then, you know, just trying to make those things challenging.
51:56Don't give them any easy ones.
51:58Chet, thanks so much.
51:58Good luck the next half.
51:59Thank you.
51:59Maria, take it away.
52:01Appreciate it, Ashley.
52:01Coming up on American Express at the half, a 9-0 run for OKC.
52:05They're running the Warriors out of the building.
52:06They're running T-Mac into a cramp.
52:08He literally just cramped up at the desk.
52:10So SGA scored the...
