00:00it's day three of our annual championship tournament one of these remaining four players
00:14will meet in a final match with our reigning champion for this year's championship worth
00:19in cash and prizes one hundred thousand dollars now meet our host jack barry
00:28thank you very much and welcome once again to the joker's wild as johnny jacobs our announcer
00:41said the third day of this very exciting tournament the circle is getting tighter and
00:46tighter as you four quarter finalists know and we started with eight players as those you remember
00:52a few days ago they are fighting to stay in the finals and we're down now to four one of these
00:58four will then meet frank dylan head on of course the four are starting over here tom parrish
01:03and pat lofton and starting over here is ann helm and john davis and these are the players who remain
01:10they're going to play against each other and ladies and gentlemen here i want to bring out the man who's
01:14going to play one of these people for the one hundred thousand dollars he is our reigning champion who
01:18must defend his title ladies and gentlemen frank dylan
01:22well as i said the noose if i may use it that way is getting tighter and tighter and tighter
01:36here are the four people one of them will play against you it must be absolutely nerve-wracking
01:40backstage waiting to see what happens jack the suspense is like in a hitchcock thriller
01:45it's just mounding game by game i can imagine it is especially when you know that in the final day
01:50of our contest you're going to be playing one of these people for one hundred thousand dollars now
01:56players you know you've already drawn lots and you know on the last program who's going to play against
02:00whom and who's going to go first so if you four players are i know frank dylan's all set if you
02:05four players are all set we'll whittle it down some more and we'll go into our quarterfinals in just a moment
02:11before we go into our quarterfinals which we'll decide who goes into the semifinals and then
02:22finally against frank dylan just a brief reminder that on this our tournament three jokers can still
02:27win but we've amended the rules only for the tournament both players must each have a turn
02:32at the wheels in every round so for example if the first player gets three jokers then the second
02:37player must also at least get his turn maybe he can get three jokers too that'll happen throughout
02:41the tournaments and we of course throughout this tournament will be playing for points and not
02:46for dollars so let's resume our tournament now with our quarterfinals johnny jacobs who are our first
