Rose et sa fille Sofia se rendent dans la ville balnéaire espagnole d'Almería pour consulter le docteur Gomez, un médecin chamanique qui pourrait bien détenir le remède à la mystérieuse maladie de Rose, qui l'a laissée clouée à un fauteuil roulant.
