00:01Let's go back to Alexi Lalas.

00:03Long hair with the headband.

00:05I know who you are, man.

00:07Who's that rock star?

00:08Or who are those rock stars on this year's team?

00:11That's the Alexi Lalas's of 1994.

00:14Well, they broke the mold, my friend.

00:15It was a long time ago.

00:17When I look at this U.S. team right now,

00:18obviously some names are going to pop up,

00:20not the least of which is Christian Pulisic.

00:22I think as he continues on,

00:23will ultimately be looked at as arguably

00:26the greatest male American soccer player in history.

00:29That's the trajectory that he's on.

00:31But as I said before, this is an opportunity for him

00:33and others on the U.S. team to show their wares.

00:38Now you and your generation, you call it a brand, right?

00:40Well, there's no better way in polishing your brand

00:43than doing it at a home World Cup here.

00:46And so it doesn't matter where you play

00:48or the fame that you have, the money that you have.

00:50This is an opportunity in front of your home country

00:52to almost introduce or reintroduce yourself.

00:56And so I think Christian Pulisic, a lot of eyes will be on him

00:58and rightfully so.

00:59He is a star, obviously already played in a World Cup,

01:03but this is a little different playing at home.

01:05But what's interesting to me is that there's some players

01:07that are now creeping into this team

01:10that might, at the perfect moment next summer,

01:12kind of use it as their coming out party.

01:14You know, you look at like a Christian Roldan

01:16or a Sebastian Berhalter or a Diego Luna,

01:18some of these players in Major League Soccer

01:20that have, through Pochettino, kind of opening it up,

01:23have not wormed their way.

01:26They've earned their way in to being part of the conversation.

01:29And there will be players that we don't necessarily look at

01:31that use the World Cup in the same way that I did to star.

01:35And if you do it at the World Cup, I can attest to it,

01:37it changes your life forever.
