00:00This is no ordinary mission. These elves in uniform have their assignment and they've
00:07checked it twice. Tasks with bringing the spirit of Christmas to Indigenous communities.
00:13So everyone wants to go up and take a seat.
00:15We're here to deliver presents, cheer and achieve some training objectives out in far
00:20north Queensland.
00:21I thank the army people to come up and take us a tour on the plane.
00:30Olympians also joining in on the festivities.
00:33Loving it. I reckon we've got the whole community. We had, looks like we had the daycare or something,
00:39we had a couple of babies, we've got a couple of elderly folk now.
00:42The ADF and the team of Olympians have got a head start with the Christmas cheer. In nine
00:47days at the end of exercise Christmas hop they will have visited 13 outback and remote communities
00:53in Queensland.
00:54One of the main reasons I joined the Air Force was because it gave me the ability to serve
00:58and to interact with the community. I didn't necessarily think I'd be fulfilling the role
01:02of Santa.
01:03To tell these communities that they're a big part of this continent and they are loved
01:09and valued.
01:10Mission accomplished.
