Balvinder Sopal and partner Julian Caillon react to breaking unwanted Strictly record
Transcript
00:00You've also made Strictly history for surviving the most dance-offs ever.
00:07I mean, that's mad.
00:08And Jules, on your first year of Strictly, you've made the quarterfinal
00:10and your partnership has also gone down in the history books.
00:13How does that make you feel?
00:15Honestly, I mean, look, it's kind of something weird to say that you're proud
00:20or, like, you know, to win that many dance-offs
00:22because no one really wants to be in that situation.
00:25Especially not five times.
00:27But to, I think, you know, I always say you learn more from the tough times
00:33and the challenges than you do from the good times.
00:35And to win five dance-offs, I think I'm most proud.
00:40I'm so proud of how Bao has improved as a dancer,
00:42but I'm most proud of how strong and resilient she has become.
00:47You know, week two, I remember the, you know, the dance-off kind of rattled her a little bit
00:51and we made a couple of mistakes in that Paso Doble
00:54and we genuinely thought, oh, actually, this could be it.
00:58And then, but then since then, you know, she just has this absolute, you know,
01:04we call it, like, back home, we call it an Aussie battler mindset
01:06and she embodies that.
01:08She just, you know, grits her teeth and she goes, let's keep going.
01:11Let's go again.
01:12And I'm so proud of her.
01:13We love her.
01:14And I'm so proud of her.
01:14Let's go again.
01:15Let's go again.
01:15Let's go again.
01:16Let's do it.
01:17Let's go again.
