00:03Hey everyone, I'm Jack, the Community Manager here at Channel 37,

00:07and today I'm excited to give you a look at the core pillars of The Last Caretaker.

00:11These are the systems that make the game what it is,

00:13and what you'll be mastering as humanity's final Caretaker Robot.

00:17The Last Caretaker is a single-player survival crafting game set in a vast ocean world.

00:22Your goal is simple, save humanity.

00:24As a Caretaker Robot, you have been assigned the role of growing humans

00:28and sending them to their peers among the stars.

00:30You can take on this challenge in many ways,

00:33but let's take a look at what will drive you through the heart of the game.

00:36We'll start with Dynamic Resource Management.

00:38Your resources and your cables are your lifeline.

00:41Diesel moves your ship, petrol fuels fire or converts into electricity.

00:46Oxygen keeps your system stable, and materials carry real physical weight.

00:50Every cable, every liter, every spark matters.

00:53Choose between building, aiming for efficiency, being aggressive,

00:56or perhaps go the defensive route.

00:59Each decision shifts the balance of the world around you.

01:02Everything is connected, everything obeys physics, and every action leaves a mark.

01:06The choice is up to you how you approach our flooded Earth.

01:09The world of The Last Caretaker is real.

01:12A vast, flooded ocean world filled with silent structures,

01:15mysterious underwater ruins, and humanity's last remaining safe havens.

01:20This isn't just a backdrop.

01:21It's a living world with weight and history.

01:23You'll uncover what happened to humanity by exploring its remains,

01:27finding old data logs, and piecing the story together bit by bit.

01:38Nearly everything in the game can be dismantled, broken down, and reused.

01:43A busted robot?

01:45Throw it into a shredder and turn it into parts.

01:47From there, you can craft modules, items, and other tools for surviving hostile encounters.

01:52If it moves, you can scrap it.

01:54Want a self-sufficient moving sea platform?

01:56We call that a boat.
