00:00CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:09It's a bullseye!
00:11He's Preston's biggest export.
00:14It's the king of the north, Freddie Flington!
00:30CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:36Hello and welcome to Bullseye.
00:39I'm absolutely buzzing about tonight's show.
00:42We've got a massive character from the darts world dropping in later.
00:45Three teams will be battling on the board to take home some cash and prizes.
00:49And our very own fountain of darts knowledge,
00:51our official scorer, Little Richard Ashdown!
00:54CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:00Now, Richard, as our darts aficionado,
01:04I've always wondered where this great game comes from.
01:07Well, Freddie, it's France that claims to have made
01:10the first darts or flechettes,
01:13meaning small arrows with feather flights.
01:15Oh, I like it. Very impressive, Richard.
01:18You're definitely the Einstein of the hockey.
01:20Anyway, right, let's get on with our flechettes
01:23and introduce tonight's teams.
01:25Je t'aime.
01:26We've got Lee and Zaya from Cambridge.
01:29CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:32Graham and Becky from Brighton.
01:34CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:35And Beth and Emily from Cardiff.
01:38CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:40CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:42CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:44Hello and welcome.
01:46Don't worry, I'm not going to be doing this show all in French.
01:48Oh, that's good.
01:49As if I could, like, you know what I mean?
01:51Thank you very much.
01:52Ladies, a favour, introduce who your partner is tonight, please.
01:55Well, this is my son Zaya.
01:56From five years of age, he wanted to be on this show,
01:59so this is a big, big thing for him.
02:01Really?
02:02Whether or not we win, he just wants his bendy bully, right?
02:05LAUGHTER
02:06So, if we can get a bendy bully, we are happy.
02:09You'll be getting a bendy bully, don't worry about that.
02:11Thank you very much.
02:12LAUGHTER
02:13Did you teach him everything in Orsley?
02:15Well, the only thing I think I teach him
02:17is how to cut people's hair and nothing.
02:19Hang on a minute, who taught him how to cut people's hair?
02:21LAUGHTER
02:22He was small, he was small.
02:23Right, you had a bit then, did you?
02:24Yeah, but, you know, all the bad cuts,
02:26I managed to nip his ear and then he's now a barber, so...
02:30All right.
02:31That helps him.
02:32What was the worst cut he gave you, Zaya?
02:33Probably the ear.
02:34LAUGHTER
02:35Although when I had the afro as a kid,
02:37it kind of went into a point,
02:38so it looked like one of them little gnomes.
02:40LAUGHTER
02:43When you were young, Zaya.
02:44Oh, this is so bad.
02:45So, when I was little, I created an imaginary friend.
02:48Oh, that feels, have you?
02:49I mean, I had friends, don't get me wrong,
02:51but the thing is, like, his name was Cucumber.
02:54Don't know why.
02:56Well, as if by magic,
02:58I got a massive surprise for you tonight.
03:00Ladies and gentlemen, it's Cucumber!
03:02APPLAUSE
03:04I'm not sure you lot got that, he's imaginary.
03:09LAUGHTER
03:12Anyway, have some fun on tonight.
03:14Ladies and gentlemen, Lee and Zaya!
03:15APPLAUSE
03:21Graham and Becky, how do you know Graham and Becky?
03:23Um, Graham's my future father-in-law.
03:25Hopefully.
03:26Why hopefully?
03:27Is it on the rocks?
03:28Well, no.
03:29LAUGHTER
03:30It doesn't depend on how you go tonight, does it?
03:32My kid do.
03:33Graham, I heard that you used to be in The Police.
03:35I did, yeah.
03:36As you look around, half of his Manchester audience is now.
03:38Yeah, it was gone.
03:39It all ran out, yeah.
03:40Don't worry, he's retired.
03:41Yeah.
03:42He's retired.
03:43What is it you do now?
03:44Now I'm a crime author.
03:46You are?
03:47Yeah, cos I had so many scores to settle after being in The Police,
03:49I thought, well, let's just fictionalise everyone and kill them,
03:51so that's what I do now.
03:52LAUGHTER
03:53I've been working on one for Richard.
03:56Oh, OK.
03:57I think he could be, like, the lead in a crime novel.
04:00You know, he'd be a spy who's got an unhealthy obsession with arts,
04:05working for the British government, 003 and a half.
04:08LAUGHTER
04:09I reckon there's something in there.
04:10Yes!
04:11What about Jack Reach Up?
04:13LAUGHTER
04:14And what do you do, Becky?
04:16I'm a paediatric nurse.
04:17Right.
04:18Yeah, so I work in a hospital.
04:19And I hear you've got an anatomy party trick on you.
04:22Yes, I do.
04:23Yes, I do.
04:24So I can name a part of the body for every letter of the alphabet.
04:27Why?
04:28I don't know.
04:29Why?
04:30Why?
04:31Why?
04:32Why?
04:33Why?
04:34Have I just thrown one at you?
04:35LAUGHTER

21:52Have you always been a fan of the show?
21:53Yeah, I've watched it ever since I was a young kid,
21:55and I remember getting a bath and then sitting by the fireplace
21:57watching the show.
21:58What a walk on, Steve.
21:59Welcome to Bullseye.
22:00Now, it's your first time on.
22:03Have you always been a fan of the show?
22:04Yeah, I've watched it ever since I was a young kid.
22:18I remember getting a bath and then sitting by the fireplace,
22:20a bath and then sitting by the fireplace watching it and obviously the revamp you involved it's
22:25brilliant to be on the show oh it's too kind that's too young were you first in the bath growing up
22:31because when i was growing up i got it fourth my dad my mom my brother than me the water was brown
22:36by the time i got in i was lucky i was an only child so uh oh there's some perks in there jeez
22:44so you've got a very unique throwing style can you maybe demonstrate for us on there please steve
22:49yeah so um my dad set me hockey up when i was a kid in the doorway the doorway was centralized but
22:55the way he put the dartboard up was to the far left so i was sort of stood over here and the
23:00boards all the way over there so that's how that that's how that sort of stuff turned out right
23:04though didn't it yeah not too bad might have been ingenious your dad and i can't let you go without
23:10mentioning your love of karaoke what's your song of choice i'd say gold spandau ballet i've been known
23:16to belt shelter that before well if if only that we had a microphone everybody put steven in the
23:29corner feel free yeah get out there steve
23:41uh
23:55you're indestructible
24:07And you are called
24:09Ladies and gentlemen!
24:16Stephen, that was incredible, and I feel it was a short-stopping moment,
24:21but you're here to play Bullies Charity Challenge.
24:23Are you ready? I'm ready.
24:25Well, let's find out which charity you're playing for tonight.
24:28Graham and Becky, you're current in the lead,
24:30so Stephen will be playing for your charity.
24:32Could you tell us a little bit about it, please?
24:34Yeah, so it's Chestnut Treehouse.
24:35They're an amazing children's hospice based in Worthing,
24:39but serving a lot of the South Coast,
24:40treating children with life-limiting diseases.
24:43And like all hospices, they rely entirely on donations.
24:46They need £6 million a year to run,
24:49so we just thought it would be an amazing cause for Stephen to play for.
24:52APPLAUSE
24:52Very cool. We'll see what we can do.
24:57OK, what are we going to do, Richard?
24:59Well, Stephen and Freddie's charity challenge is to go round the clock
25:03and hit every number from 1 to 20, finishing on the bullseye.
25:07Freddie, you can hit anywhere on the correct number,
25:11but Stephen, you must hit either a double or a treble
25:14to progress to the next number.
25:16You have 180 seconds,
25:18and the time is up when you hear this noise.
25:22I think you're bullying.
25:23Yep, so when bully moves,
25:25we'll multiply whatever number they've reached by £100.
25:28So if you manage to reach number 17,
25:31we'll give £1,700 to our team's charity of choice.
25:35But if they go all the way and hit the bullseye,
25:40we'll make it around £5,000.
25:43APPLAUSE
25:44OK, make your way to the ocky.
25:50Go on, Steve.
25:51CHEERING

29:08All right, guys.
29:09All right, guys.
29:09Graham and Becky, please just remind us which charity the money's going to.
29:13So Chestnut Tree House, a local children's hospice.
29:15What would be the best prize on boys prize board for you Becky
29:38I think I'd like a some kitchen appliance. I love being in the kitchen. What's your signature dish?
29:52I'm an absolute demon at a roasted Christmas dinner. Get out of the kitchen. This is my place. Yeah. Yeah, you're welcome round now
30:02Gravy you got any words of encouragement for Becky going to this next round? Yeah, I just want you to relax
30:07Enjoy it. You're doing brilliantly and just remember how glad I am. It's not me up at the Occy
30:16Lee are you hoping for some of the straightness on the board?
30:21If you still got the speedball, I love it
30:25No, anything honestly this at this position. This is me done
30:37I'm meeting a legend like you. Thank you
30:44Is that how you feel? It must be nice having that support from your old boy
30:47Yeah, always always he's got my back no matter what so yeah, I do appreciate it. Thanks dad
30:52I must say I do want I do want a barbecue smoker. That's barbecue. Oh, yeah slow and low just cook it

31:08Brick it. Oh, it sounds better than this Christmas dinner
31:11Yeah, you're more than welcome to come round
31:14Right, we're ready to play now
31:17It's not can't cook, won't cook
31:20Anyway, okay, Liam Zaire, Graham and Becky
31:23Are you ready to play the new bullies head-to-head game?
31:25We are
31:26Yes, thank you
31:27Whoever wins will be going through to play bullies prize board
31:30Richard, can you give us the rules please?
31:33Bullies head-to-head is like a dance version of a penalty shootout
31:38Before we play let me assure you your money is safe
31:42You're now scoring points to secure a place at bullies prize board
31:46You will take it in turns to face questions with a numerical answer from 1 to 20
31:51It's then up to the thrower to hit that number on the board, but here's the pressure
31:56You'll only have one dart to do it if you hit the correct answer you score a point if you miss you score nothing
32:04We play this game on a yorkshire board freddie
32:08No trebles but watch out for those doubles because they will count if you hit them
32:12It's the best of three good luck to both teams
32:18Okay, a lot is at stake on these darts
32:20Graham and becky you in the lead at the end of the last round
32:23So you choose if you want to have the first or second question set
32:27First you go first. That's the way go first brilliant. Yeah, okay throws. Please make your way to the throw zone
32:43So graham here's your first question
32:46In the nursery rhyme, how many blind mice were there?
32:50Well, no, you're you work with children, don't you? Yeah, you can confer. Yeah, I think it's three. I think you might be right three
32:56We're gonna go three
32:58Try and hit it
32:59Yeah, well, I wish I could help you
33:02Three is the number we're looking for
33:06Just next door
33:08Let's hope there were 19 blind
33:1119 blind mice don't really work, does it?
33:15But three was the correct answer. Sorry, but you don't
33:18Lee, here's your question. Hope it's not avocados
33:23What number was the Apollo mission that was the subject of the film starring Tom Hanks?
33:30Unlucky for some 13. Yeah, Apollo 13. Yeah, yeah, you're taking 13. Yeah, we'll take 13. Okay
33:37Let's hope it's lucky for you. Yeah
33:42In 13
33:45And the correct answer was 13 so that's 1-0 to Lee and Zaya
33:54Back to graham here's your question
33:56At what age are you legally allowed to buy a national lottery ticket? I think it's 16. I think yeah
34:03Yeah, that would be my guess. Yeah, I'm not sure yeah 16 or 18. I think should we go 16?
34:09It doesn't mean I'm gonna get it
34:11Come on
34:13Come on
34:15I'm gonna aim for 16 and see oh
34:21That went really bad ironically you've hit the three
34:24I know you're going for 16 but the actual answer was 18
34:35So they've been wrong anyway
34:36You've lost every cloud
34:38Yeah, so it's back to Lee and Zaya who are 1-0 up Lee here's your question. How many points in snooker is the blue ball worth?
34:46I think it's five
34:48You think it's five?
34:50Pink is six black is seven
34:51Oh, well there you go
34:52Five
34:53You happy with it?
34:54Yeah, yeah, go for it
34:56If it's wrong don't blame me though
34:58Zaya if you get this right you win
35:00Oh
35:02Sorry
35:05The correct answer was five
35:07So graham you live to fight another day could be another crime book that
35:12Right your question graham how many members sit on a jury in england and wales now if I don't know this
35:19It's got to be 12 12 12
