00:18It started with Barbie for the Commodore 64 in 1984.

00:23Barbie's on a mission to find the perfect outfit for a date night with Ken.

00:26The game was simple, so were the times, try on different outfits and hairstyles and drive

00:31your convertible down the street past stores.

00:34Then came Barbie on PC and NES in 1991.

00:38According to Yahoo, Barbie has a nightmare about not having the perfect outfit for the fantasy

00:42ball, so she wastes no time traveling to three different worlds.

00:47Gamers have to collect accessories and clothing items that help craft Barbie's perfect look.

00:52Fast forward a few years now, Mattel Media owns all the rights to Barbie Entertainment

00:56and Barbie Fashion Designer comes out on CD-ROM.

01:00This was a huge hit in 1997, with endless fashion possibilities as you could piece together

01:05different Barbie outfits, customizing colors and patterns in what was back then pretty high-tech

01:10looking stuff.

01:12As the technology got better, so did the games, with titles like Barbie of Swan Lake, Barbie

01:17Sparkling Ice Show, and The Barbie Diaries.

01:20With the success of the Barbie movie, it's not too wild of a guess that we'll probably be seeing

01:25a lot more of Barbie coming to gaming systems near you.
