Darkness stretched across the Orion Fringe.

Stars shimmered like cold silver sparks.

Commander Kael stood inside the Nova Hangar.

The Starfire-17 starfighter rested before him.

Its obsidian armor absorbed every photon.

Plasma veins glowed beneath its wings.

Today, Kael would fly into the Harkon Void.

A region feared by every pilot.

Not because of its darkness…

But because of the machines hidden inside.

The Krylon Machine Empire had awakened.

Their fleets began spreading across sectors.

Colonies vanished overnight.

Signals went silent.

The Galactic Council issued an urgent order.

“Stop the Krylon advance.”

Kael accepted without hesitation.

The cockpit canopy slid open.

Cool air swirled around him.

He entered the seat smoothly.

The HUD projected holograms in bright cyan.

Target: Krylon Outpost Z-13.

Location: Harkon Void, Sector Nine.

Threat: Extreme.

Kael tightened his gloves.

Engines started warming.

A deep hum vibrated the ground.

Technicians stepped back.

“Starfire-17, cleared for launch.”

Kael pushed the thrusters lightly.

The craft levitated off the platform.

Anti-gravity fields shimmered below.

The launch doors opened.

Infinite space revealed itself.

Kael engaged full thrust.

The jet rocketed forward.

Stars stretched into blue streaks.

The Starfire-17 entered slipstream mode.

Space warped around him.

Hyperspace corridors formed.

He traveled faster than light.

Time felt motionless.

Then—with a violent jolt—

He dropped out of slipstream.

The Harkon Void surrounded him.

Black nebula clouds twisted like serpents.

Electricity danced inside them.

Navigation lights flickered.

Krylon drones patrolled the area.

Kael activated stealth plating.

His ship became a shadow.

The drones scanned blindly.

Kael drifted silently past them.

The deeper he flew…

The darker the void became.

Stars disappeared completely.

Silence felt alive.

Sensors detected movement.

Four Krylon interceptors deployed.

Their red optics glowed menacingly.

They locked onto Kael instantly.

“So much for stealth,” he muttered.

He pulled the jet upward sharply.

Laser beams tore through the darkness.

Kael spun the Starfire-17 elegantly.

Plasma rounds whizzed past.

He targeted the closest interceptor.

Fired a burst of ion shots.

The machine exploded in blue sparks.

Three left.

Kael dove downward.

Enemy ships followed relentlessly.

He activated vortex thrusters.

A gravitational ripple formed behind him.

One interceptor got caught in it.

It crushed into itself violently.

Two remaining.

Kael accelerated.

His jet left streaks of luminous energy.

The machines tried keeping pace.

He performed a star-flip maneuver.

The Starfire-17 rotated 180 degrees instantly.

Now facing the enemy head-on.

Kael opened fire.

Plasma bolts shredded one machine.

The final interceptor lunged forward.

It fired a huge ion lance.

Kael barely evaded it.

He countered with a solar missile.

Impact successful.
