00:00I'm sorry. Death is hard for me. But at least Angela died doing what she loved,
00:05swimming less than 20 minutes after she had eaten.
00:08On Sunday's episode of Family Guy, the animated series paid tribute to the late Carrie Fisher
00:12and said goodbye to her character, Angela.
00:15So no one told you life was gonna be this way? Angela.
00:20Fisher voiced Peter's boss at the Pawtucket Brewery for numerous seasons on the Fox cartoon,
00:24and on Sunday's installment, Peter gave a touching eulogy which included a few references
00:28to Star Wars, Fisher's most well-known work.
00:31She had grace, courage, and an unmatched zest for life, Peter said.
00:35She may be gone, but her voice will live on in DVD and Hulu Plus and tiny droid projected messages.
00:42Peter, who was voiced by creator Seth MacFarlane, then concluded his sweet speech with this.
00:47I may have lost a boss, but heaven has gained a princess.
00:52Of course, Family Guy is a comedy, so Peter quickly realized that he was at the wrong funeral,
00:59but the sentiment was heartwarming nonetheless.
01:01Earlier this year, showrunner Rich Apple shared with The Hollywood Reporter his favorite moment
01:05of working with the actress on Family Guy.
01:07One of the things I will always remember about Carrie, a few years ago, a casting director
01:11for the recording booth put out a dozen old film magazines of the 50s and 60s.
01:15And I'll never forget, while she was waiting to record, Carrie was reading one
01:19and came upon a big spread of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, and there were pictures of Carrie
01:23as a little girl. And for the next 20 minutes, she would read the article out loud, look up
01:28and annotate it as if you were watching one of her stage shows. And I said,
01:32do you want to keep that magazine? And she said, I don't need it, I've lived it.
01:36Fisher died December 27, 2016, at the age of 60.
