00:00It's time for the Jedi to end.
00:05Don't mess with Luke Skywalker!
00:08Mark Hamill shared a new photo of his iconic Star Wars character Wednesday,
00:12giving fans a glimpse of the most badass Jedi Knight fans have ever seen.
00:16The photo, which was a cover image of Hungarian magazine Mozzymania,
00:20shows Luke dressed all in black with a black shawl and black glove on his right hand.
00:24The look on his face? Well, let's just say we will not be picking a lightsaber jewel
00:28with this Jedi Master anytime soon.
00:30The actor tweeted,
00:39Meanwhile, in a separate interview with the Associated Press,
00:42the actor explained that Luke is very different from the character fans left off with
00:46in Return of the Jedi.
00:47Luke changed, I think, more than the other characters in the original trilogy,
00:51from Callow Farm Boy to a Jedi in training to finally a Jedi Master.
00:56In this new one, I was saying to director Rian Johnson,
00:59I need to know my backstory. It was kind of unclear. You read where he is now,
01:04and what he's doing now, and sort of have to fill in the blanks for yourself.
01:07So I did do a backstory myself. It's not about Luke anymore, so it's not really important.
01:11Hamill also spoke about his broken heart after the death of his screen sister Carrie Fisher.
01:16There can never be a proper reunion anymore, Hamill says. It's tragic.
01:20I hate that it adds an air of melancholy to the film, because it doesn't deserve it.
01:24I know for a fact she would obviously want us to be having fun.
01:27She was all about laughter and enjoying the moment.
01:30The actor muses that the period of grief the cast and crew are experiencing in the wake of
01:34Fisher's passing sort of reflects the films themselves, which have covered the triumphs
01:38and tragedies of a close-knit group.
01:40They are a family, says Hamill. A dysfunctional family, but a family nonetheless.
