Tom Cruise’s next 'Mission: Impossible' film is getting hit with a big delay! The eighth installment in the action spy franchise is leaving the 2024 theatrical calendar and pushed all the way back to May 23, 2025. The film also appears to be dropping the second half of its previous title, 'Dead Reckoning, Part Two', with a new title expected to be announced at a later date.

00:28Then the sag-after strike hit in mid-July, which meant the cast could not return to work on the film.
00:34More temples are likely to flee next year if the strike isn't resolved in the next few weeks.
00:38Paramount has already made a flurry of other changes.
00:41A Quiet Place Day 1 moved from March 8, 2024 to Dead Reckoning's old date of June 28, 2024.
00:48The Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski star If moved up a week to May 17, 2024.
00:54Meanwhile, an untitled SpongeBob SquarePants movie departed its May 23, 2025 date for December 19, 2025.
