00:00What do we know about the Barrick story as, you know, this underlying asset doing nothing today,

00:06but over the past year has just rallied so far so fast?

00:09Yeah, rallied very strongly, just given kind of overall sentiment.

00:12The big news is that the board approved management to consider IPO-ing their North America assets primarily.

00:19It's going to be partnered potentially with a larger mine of the Dominican Republic.

00:21But the big news from that is when you look at this Nevada mine, it's really been undervalued,

00:26according to analysts Bloomberg Intelligence, saying that the North American assets could be worth nearly $62 billion by themselves.

00:33Why does that matter?

00:34Overall, right now, the stock, at least on the U.S. trading, valued at $72 billion.

00:39So when you look at this potential unlocking a lot of opportunities,

00:42the big pitch from analysts and kind of the management team is that this can kind of narrow the gap relative to rivals,

00:50which has been something that has been weighing on the company.
