‘The Late Show’ is hitting pause again, while host Stephen Colbert deals with what may be a “recurrence” of COVID-19.

00:00Stephen Colbert is taking another break from The Late Show as he deals with what may be a
00:04recurrence of COVID-19. The official Twitter account for the CBS show tweeted on Monday,
00:09Stephen is experiencing symptoms consistent with a recurrence of COVID. Out of an abundance of
00:14caution for his staff, guests, and audience, he will be isolating for a few additional days.
00:19The Late Show will not be taping new episodes until further notice.
00:23The host retweeted the post, writing,
00:25Worst Sequel Ever. Cobert first tested positive for the virus on April 21st and had to cancel his
00:31upcoming episode. He wrote on social media at the time, basically, I'm feeling fine, grateful to be
00:36vaxxed and boosted. He later updated viewers that his symptoms included a serious head cold and that
00:41his experience with the virus was, quote, not fun. Days later, Cobert's band leader, Grammy winner
00:46John Batiste, tested positive and was absent from The Late Show. Additional late night hosts who have
00:51recently tested positive for the virus include James Corden, Seth Meyers, and Jimmy Kimmel.
00:57NBC's Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie tested positive for the second time last week and had
