00:00You've been doing a string of big-budget studio movies lately with Tenet, this one,
00:05Kraven the Hunter. After doing some indie films, what made you feel like this was the right time
00:09to come back to this crazy world?
00:13Well, the thing about this movie is the originality, right? This is a movie that no one really...
00:17I mean, this is based off of a book, but, like, there isn't any huge expectation
00:22behind these characters, right? For the most part, they're unpredictable.
00:25They're things that... it's refreshing. So, as an audience, they really just can go to see it
00:30and really fully immerse themselves in it and enjoy it.
00:33So, there's something really different about this one.
00:35But, listen, you know, you sign up for a David Looch movie, it's got Brad Pitt involved,
00:40and there's a bunch of stunts and a great ensemble, and, you know, it's a laugh-out-loud comedy.
00:44So, it's a no-brainer, honestly. I don't like to get pigeonholed into...
00:49I'm not even pigeonholed, I just don't... I just get bored.
00:52Like, I have to keep changing it up, do you know what I mean?
00:55So, I never really know what I'm going to do next.
00:58And, you know, sometimes an opportunity is an opportunity, and you go for it, you know?
01:03And you're filming Kraven the Hunter right now.
01:05How does the action work you did on this movie compare to what you're doing on that?
01:09It's completely different because it's a different character, right?
01:13So, I approach everything through the character, so it doesn't really matter if it's...
01:18whether it's the same stunt crew or not, or whatever it is.
01:22If the physicality and action is involved, it's still got to be behind the lens of the character
01:27and feel true to the way that person presents themselves in those situations.
01:33Yeah.
01:34This is a huge ensemble cast.
01:36Who did you actually get to work with and film with the most?
01:39Brian Tyree Henry!
01:41He's my brother-in-arms in this one, my partner-in-crime.
01:45So, we built such a great bond and a friendship on this one.
01:50We're, like, literally codependent.
01:52So, every time I wasn't with him, I was literally nervous to shoot a day.
01:56But, you know, then the other person was Brad Pitt, so it's not too bad.
02:00And this is definitely a badass movie.
02:02What would you say is the most badass moment in this movie?
02:08There's some real badass moments in this one.
02:11It's really hard.
02:12You can't really pinpoint one.
02:13I mean, I think, you know, watching this back, I thought Joey King absolutely kills it.
02:16Her accent's fantastic and flawless.
02:18Her, you know, she's a manipulative character, so it's always fun to watch.
02:25Bad Bunny comes on and does his thing and kills it.
02:29And I think everyone's excited to see that, too.
02:31And then there's a few little cameos that might just be some nice little surprises.
02:36So, those were some good days, too.
02:38Amazing.
02:39Thank you so much.
02:40Have a great night tonight.
